Bad luck Juve, you didn't play to your potential and were beaten by a team with more heart...Carragher and Hyypia showed they're among Europe's best defenders (Carra in particular has been immense this season). Alonso made a big difference for us this evening as well, as I think, did the legend Rafa Benitez.

Anyway it's pleasing to have beaten a mighty team like Juventus...hopefully we can now give Chelsea some payback for our defeats to them this season (2 of which were somewhat undeserved) and get back to our glory days status. :cheesy:

I don't agree. Chelsea were VERY lucky to win at Anfield in the league, and one careless mistake cost us the Carling Cup final. They beat us easily at Stamford Bridge in the league match but that was a long time ago now and after our performances in Europe, I can't imagine surrendering to Chelsea. It will be a very close match but now that our injuries are clearing up, I expect us to edge the match. Personally I think it would be good for football if we win rather than Chelsea, but then I am biased.

With a central midfield of Gerrard and Alonso we can boss Chelsea (hell that midfield could boss any team in the world). Like Stevie says they got lucky against twice this season, we outplayed them at Anfield until Fat Frank injured Xabi, and they got a freak own goal in their favour in the Carling Cup final.

Anything could happen over the two legs...personally I'm going for the Redmen

yeah but also milan had there bad luck.
i remember they kicket out againts Depor in the second round they played 0-0 ore 1-1(i think 1-1)
but they had to win and the year therefore was even more disasterous they were outplayed buy GALATASARAY stupid team!

the year after that i remember milan won in vitesse 1-0 and lost againts vitesse in sansiro and only won on penalty's againts a team that always are under the 10place in holland.

No last year . they were out by 4 clean goals by depor in spain. but if you look at the first match in san siro. the result was (4-1) That's mean they scored 4 goals at home. we did socre a goal away at Liverpool which was our hope but how come we could not score a goal at home. Dah

i was not talking about milan-depor last year i was talking about Milan - depor uuhhmmm 2000 i think?

milan was also away from europe a couple of years .
