1-0 win against bayern was not a bad result.
so far in the season, our defense has won the game for us in most of the game we played.

our forwards will be great again when trez and dp completely recover from injury. i am very confident of that.

I used to be like that too- thinking everything is bad... doesn't make you feel as bad when you actually lose.

this is the first time this season i get to see a juve game. here is what i think: the game was quite tactical. i think bayern came looking for a draw and we were pretty cautious too. makaay and ballack were pretty non-existent and they only played with 1 striker. so 1-0 is what i expected anyway.

the crowd turnout was a joke. it wasn't atmospheric at all. empty seats 360 degrees i watched. all i saw was red flares, which i presume bayern fans. i heard some chanting "juve, juve" but nothing exciting compared to the sight of empty seats. very dissapointing!!

what won us the game was the defense, which was very solid except one thuram hiccup that froze me for a couple of seconds. one thing that was quite worrying was the fact that we couldn't string a good passing game. they were horrible. we lost too many balls. luckily, bayern did too so we were ok. the ball rarely reached the forwards. even if it did, it was lost all too quickly. but i saw how 2-3 bayern players always marked our forwards everytime they got the ball.

here's what i think about the players:

buffon was there when you need it the most, like when thuram made that mistake. He was confident and did some very good saves. Reliable as always. 6.5

zebina was very good. he neutralized ze roberto very well. played quite tough and got a yellow, but it was worth it. that one solo run forward and pass to alex was really good. i think he is maturing to be something like zambro. 7

thuram and canna were solid. very good defending. made few mistakes. excellent partnership. now i know what everyone was talking about. 6.5 each

blasi was really good defensively. he won many balls and wasn't afraid to tackle. his tackles were pretty clean too. he broke many bayern attack flow, which is excellent. 7

emerson was really quite. didn't see him too much today. 5.5

camoranesi was ok. he looked like gattuso at times. not very good at passing. but his determination was quite inspiring. 6

nedved had a quite game. imo, beside the goal, he really didn't do much. but he balanced the team and at times push forward between the strikers. 6.5

del piero was not impressive at all. he had a good chance or two but weak shots, unable to hold the ball and his passing was also mediocre. 5.5

ibrahimovic was also quite dissapointing. as people have said, he hold the ball too much. had chances to score with a header early and assist to nedved at the end but didn't take them well. capello even said that failed pass at the end to nedved was really the worst part of the game. but i saw glimpses of brilliance. the assist to nedved was quite good although textbook stuff. but honestly, for a man that big, he moved quite well, but too much. 6

zalayeta made some impact. i think he played better than alex for 10 mins or so then he went quiet. 6

capello did quite good tactically. but why did he only use 1 sub for the whole game?

wow nonetheles we managed to defeat Bayern, hope we can keep up and defeat Inter, AC Milan and roma to win the serie A. As well as the other strong European clubs.

Our defence won us the match , bayern dominated all the first half , i dont where was our midfield .
Buffon was there when needed
thuram second miss this week could have cost us a macay goal but he was generaly good.
zebina was good and he made a wonderful run to the goal and passed to dp who only managed to shoot like a child
canavaro was brilliant
camo had an avarage game
blasi and emerson did what they can to help the defence.
nedved was the hero
dp should have been entered as a sub since he not on form
and at last ZLATAN : this player dont know how to shoot , how to pass , when to release the ball , how to dive if needed , the only thing he did was assisting nedved for the goal , i dont know till when he will be like this just a shadow ,he even failed to make a simple pass to nedved at the end in which he could have scored easily , he was offside 10 times

Well this is my first juve game i saw this season, had to wake up in the mornining but it was worth it. Now to what i think ;

Buffon was inspiring, he was always ready, u can see that in two occasions(the thuram incident, and one time when a long ball passed all the defenders and makkay was near it but buffon was quickly out of his line to head it out). He had a good reflection save(shhwenshtiger's shot). i think he played very very well.


zebina-zambro: very good game also zambro made one or two runs along the line and had a wonderfull game in defense. Zebina also wonderfull in both offense and defense, he held his ground against Ze roberto and salih-hamidizich.

Thuram-cana: people say they are the best, and i had to see it in my own two eyes.They were fantastic, running everywhere and covering alot of ground,and the best thing about our defense is that if those two lose concentration for a second then zebina,zambro, and buffon will cover it. Which gives them confidence. Both of thuram and cana completely shadowed ballack, and makkay. I also liked how they performed in the air against a team that is very good in the air.

Blasi:good takles, good runs, helped the defense and the offense, very good game, even the australian commentator said that.

emerson:i think he covered alot of ground in the midfield, very good game defensively.I dont think he had a bad game like people say, capello wanted him to play a good defensive game, and he did.

camo: Now i know why capello fields him against olivera, he had a very good defesive game, but his passes weren't very good, and he didnt contribute offesively as much.

neddy:he balanced the team in midfield, anything else from the goal he was a ghost, but he scored the goal so that was enough.

Alex:Well what can i say? he didn't play a good game.But i didnt expect him to play a good game. But the fans and the media won't leave him alone, its just his first game since he has returned from injury, he needs time. And the juve fans should know that.
Just give him a chance and time, i hear ppl saying that he should've been on the bench, that would crash his confidence, he is the captain for god's sake.

zlatan: i think he played a good game, although he has a long way to go, and he has to improve his game.He also needs time, we will have to wait. he will have his chance untill trezi gets back, if he doesn't perform by then, i think that zalayeta will get the nod infront of him.

zalayeta:good runs, but he was nervous i think, i don;t know why though.

Capello: very good tactics, and he sent zalayeta in the right time. I hoped i can see olivera though. Overall very good game.

I think you should calm down. As far as I see it, this was Zlatans best match so far this season. He was pretty much involved in all, meaning he struggled and worked hard. So what he went into some offsides? Didnt Makaay do that too? You think its easy to play against Bayern defence?
That last pass I agree, perhaps he should have done better there, but the man was everywhere, even in defence winning the ball. You cant critisize him. And that goes for rest of us too, we shouldnt critisize any of our players unless we have a reason too. No one played bad on Juve yesterday. Im proud, really...this was Bayern, Im very proud.

I'm glad Juve past the test of the first big team of the season. Fore me the match juve-bayern would show me if Juve were capable of doing something this year. It seems so, although Juve is very dependant on the backline, even when going forward (left-back Zambrotta, who was immense offensively and defensively).

DP and Ibrahimovic are good players, but both need to be partenered with a goal scorer to be effective. BAyern's 5 man midfield prevented juve from creating very much.

So there is room for improvement.

Happy with the win though ofcourse.

Now on the starting players:

Buffon; 6. Not a whole lot to do, saved the few shots he had to save, but had to get the balls often in the second attempt or punched the ball away which sometimes worried me. I should not worry about Buffon though.

Cannavaro: 7. Simply outstanding defending, gave the ball away once. IT does not take away from his performance though.

Thuram: 7. Was even better than Cannavaro positioning-wise , but had one major error which could've cost us a goal.

Zebina: 7-. Good defensively, hard worker, strong and had one amazing solo. Ze Roberto caused him a lot of trouble though

Zambrotta: 7.5 . My man of the match again, most attacking threat came from this guy and most tackles, interceptions and clearances also came from this guy. Confirmed tom e aonce again what an amazing player he is.

Blasi: 7. Always going for the ball, tackles each and everything. He was very active and lively and could be seen everywhere.

Emerson 5.5: Except for one or two nice touches and some good defensive efforts he was practically anymonous.

Camoranesi 5.5: Work harded and tryed a lot. Camo has a creative spirit and imagination he was often outnumbered though and wasn't able to do much.
I doubt Olivera would've done better to be honest.

Nedved 6.5: The goal saved his rating. Apart from some nice passes and movement, he lost the ball more than once and was pretty quiet.
Good goal by him.

Del Piero 5.5: Lost the ball sometimes and had a good chance which he fluffed with a weak shot. He had to take the shot from a tight angle though.
DP though, confirmed to me last night that he still is a good player. Alex is not a scorer but we all know that. He had a great throughball to Zambo which lead to Zlatan's header early in the match.
His substitution was a planned subsitution by the way.

Ibrahimovic 6.5: I have to admit I really like his performance. Good dribbles, very lively. Worked hard for once and passed the ball (except for the last 10 minutes of the game). Good assist. Like Alex though, Ibra needs to be partenered with a goal scorer.
