Are you kidding me? I hope Nedved reconsiders, once again.
Yeah, as much as I want to see him at WC06 and all that, I'd honestly prefer if he just concentrated on Juve

Exactly. I would hate to see Pavel be over-worked, and the more he plays the more likely another injury would occur.

Arsenal cannot even go one game in Europe without conceding a goal. I find that a bit of a joke to me. But you gotta love Pascal Cygan. :D

great result!! no goals conceded so far is extremely impressive. Only chelsea are close. then again, they have scored 9 to our 5....

why love Cygan? the own goal? hahaha :) :D
You must love Cygan because he is a horrid defender, and plays regulary for Arsenal. He, sometimes, is Arsenal's main problem, not the other team. But still the whole Gunner side is a joke in Europe. :D

Capello shrugs off record Tuesday 23 November, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fabio Capello has praised his players for beating Ajax despite being already qualified, but insists records don’t interest him.

“It’s best to lose a few along the way and then get to the Final,” smiled the Juventus boss. “I was glad to see the team play with the same determination and concentration as always.”

The Bianconeri were already sure of their spot in the knockout stage before this result, but the fifth consecutive 1-0 victory matches their club record in the European Cup. Marcelo Zalayeta scored the winner and has filled in admirably for the injured David Trezeguet.

“Zalayeta has matured as a player and probably feels more faith in him this year, which is why he’s giving his best for the club. I put out a team I felt was able to play on level terms with and beat Ajax. Paolo Montero and Alessio Tacchinardi can be relied upon and everyone gave me a positive response.”

There are reports that the Turin club will make massive changes during the January window, but Capello laughed off this speculation.

“We have no intention of selling Alessandro Birindelli or Tacchinardi. They are not on the transfer market.”

The Serie A leaders can now look forward to Sunday’s Scudetto showdown with Inter, but Capello had bad news for the supporters.

“We can already say that Alessandro Del Piero will not be ready to play against Inter on Sunday. He is undergoing treatment and will be back next week.”

Gianluigi Buffon performed another decisive save tonight to ensure he is yet to concede a single goal in the competition proper this season.

“It’s a record that also amazes me, but keeping clean sheets increases confidence and helps us to play better in the future, especially after our problems at the back last season,” noted the goalkeeper. “Here’s hoping we can continue along this path right the way to the Final.”

Zalayeta bagged another decisive goal and is becoming a key player in the absence of Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero.

“When I went out on loan in Spain it helped me a great deal,” said the Uruguayan. “Once you know the club has faith in you and your own confidence is boosted, everything becomes simpler. Thankfully there is a team mentality here at Juve and everyone chips in to help out when another player is injured.”

Ajax man Maxwell was reported to be a transfer target for Juve, but embarrassed himself with the error that allowed Zalayeta to score.

“I just received the ball and was trying to control, but never expected Camoranesi to come up behind me so quickly,” revealed the Brazilian. “There are lots of people talking about transfers, but although it’s true I am good friends with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he plays for Juventus and I play for Ajax. Of course I’d like to play in Italy and all players would consider Juventus a step up in their career, but everything has a right time.”

great win...
I think it was very good, that the first team players were on the field.. it is important to be on a good shape for the inter game.. 2 weeks without playing a serious game is too long..

What is the problem with Arsenal and ManU.. well arsenal are going to be eliminated..

I hate Real madrid..
ManU is ok, I like the way they are playing, and there stadium..
