I hope to see Montero playing for us, haven't seen this guy for quite a long time. I wonder how it is like if he plays. And there r some reports saying that Ajax may field a 4-5-1 formation to surprise us.
I can give you a little preview.......

This guy is a washed up, has- been who no longer has the speed or skill to keep up with todays top level strikers.

What he has lost in skill and speed he's made up for in rough, dirty play.

This guy can no longer help this team, but rather destroy us with red cards and embarassing challenges on the opposition. He is no longer Juve material. He should be sold off to a Serie C2 club, or shipped back to Uruguay

Is that a good enough preview ???

I don't see it that way. While I surely agree that he's lost speed, I think he still has skill and he can still be Juve material: Sub Material that is.

I'd prefer to offload him and get a younger defender, but given out other options in defense, I only see a possible future in Tudor. I've lost hope with Legro and Ferrara is just too old.

Montero has always been rough and dirty, it's not something new. Doesn't he hold the serie A record for most player who received red cards. Anyhow, I think it's murder to play him vs. the likes of Adriano, Sheva, Martins, and other fast forwards. He can still to a good job against players a bit slower than those mentioned.

Against Atalanta he would have been very usefull. While we have a lot of CBs, besides Cannavaro, Montero's the only one with sweeper characteristics. Even if juve do play a flat back 4, a sweeper type player is needed.

Montero can definitely still remain at juve for another year.few class defenders ever lose all their ability in a season just like that, and Montero has proven his ability enough to warrant another chance.

easy on monteroo, i respect what u said ,but there are a few points that i would like to comment on;

two years ago when we had montero and ferrara in defense , he was not fast he was slow but he did a wonderfull job and now i would like to see what he will do.
he is a dirty player that is just his style , there are alot of dirty defenders that are dirty but they do a good job. Goodluck for him, i like him very much.

- i agree that i see the future with tudor , he has potential but he needs time, but we should not rely on him competely we need another defender in the summer.

yeah, that is true ;) Tudor can score too :D on the corners and freekicks. Then we have Cannavaro - Tudor. Both are very dangerous on corners and Freekicks. And good in defence ;)

We're playing Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Emerson, Nedved and Zlatan in a match that means absolutely nothing?

I guess this is the first time in the season where I have to just trust in Capello :undecide:

I think we will win comfortably. We will shock Ajax in the opening minutes with a goal by Ibrahimovic, assisted by a brilliant Nedved. That will make them give up and we will outplay them. Final score: Juve 3 - 0 Ajax

I'm gonna be extremely (extremely) annoyed if one of our key players gets injured against Ajax :frown:
