Vidal moves his arm and open his palm: clear intention to block the ball. You can argue as much as you like, but if you read the Laws of football book, that is a penalty. If you have good memory, Genoa was awarded a penalty for an identical foul by no less than Vidal himself. And we didn't argue bacv then, it was a penalty there and it was a penalty last night.


One thing I am struggling with is also why so many people on this forum are talking us down (not talking about you Orgut). All the Italian media, most of the world media are praising our amazing comeback and carachter, so have done our opponents but people on here are crying like ladyboys.

Grow a fucking spine or go and support Arsenal, Inter or other spineless gits. Seriously, you don't belong here because you have fundamentally failed to understand Juventus and its spirit.

This is a bit of a fallacy, and also amusing, as the same people who use this argument here, in this case, also use it in reverse.

They say here, it shouldn't have been a penalty and if it was against us, we'd be crying...

But then, when these type of questionable penalties go against us, they say it should be a penalty because we'd crying if it wasn't awarded to us...

It's #TeamObjectivity, and they basically say all questionable decisions should go against us... for objectivity's sake. Because we'd cry if the calls went against us.

Well, against Napoli Bonucci IIRC made the same handball in our penalty box and there was no penalty. So, yeah... It's pretty common not to award such penalties. No big deal.

I'd say that Vidal's hand was a penalty - he made a move with his hand to stop the ball.
Bayern's goal - never thought there's something wrong with the 1st one, on the second one it's not clear what happened with Bonucci.
Whatever, enough of this bullshit.


What i loved is the stadium reaction after our goals (1st one in particular). They were roaring so much it really looked like we have an extra player out there.

I don't know why people are so adamant that Vidal's was a penalty, I guess you don't watch much European football, especially BPL, because I've seen much, much clearer hand-balls not given by the refs there in recent weeks.
My guess is, it's a new policy by UEFA or something that, unless it's a 100% goal situation it shouldn't be awarded a penalty.

One thing about Bayern dominance. In the end, the stats are telling that they overwhlemed us in terms of ball possession (not so much in the second half) but how effective were they?

In the end, we had more shots on target than they did. We were more accurate. I think that with 352 and Alex Sandro and Chiellini back, we can still have our saying in the return leg.
I never liked Barca's tiki-taka, I don't like Bayern's tiki-taken. This endless ball possession is just as boring as fuck and in the end their goals came from the few moments of genius showed by their players. Having ball possession with such proportion and shooting only five times on target is like having Charlize Theron naked on your bed and spending the evening just staring at her.

Alot of pussies here are bitching on the ref. I have seen some of the tug by our defenders have in the box can be given PK , and I personally think the result was a reflect of the game and the ref made mistakes both side .

Don't know about the offside though, we scored a similar goal vs Fiorentina 10 years ago. Trezeguet was blocking Frey's view but the goal stood.

Loved the comeback. But we were dominated like crazy, couldn't cross the half line with Bayern insane pressure,

Was it really though, was it insane? It looked like a standard hard press to me, the sort you have to be able to play around at any decent level. We literally just sat there and let them play in our half. No counter attacks. They pressed us but we are a CL level team and couldn't put three passes together. No pressing from the front as Mandzukic just strolled around, Dybala lost the ball every time he touched it, Khedira didn't have the legs and Pogba was stuck playing against them all. All they had to do was close Pogba down from the goal kick and that was the end of our use of the ball. TBH it was embarrassing to watch.

I know Bayern were missing their central defence but we also missed absolutely key players, or those playing in poor condition. Chiellini for one takes away our main tactical strength, in terms of formation. Pogba had to play increasingly wide not just because of the formation but because Evra doesn't have the legs to run both directions, so we had no attack at all from the left. Alex Sandro would have been a godsend. That loses the key creative player from our central midfield. Khedira was half a player. Mandzukic was half a player for an hour. You then can't expect to carry Dybala. Lots of problems. It culminated in us having no pressure of the ball of our own, which at J Stadium is simply not good enough, no matter the opposition. No matter who it is, Bayern or Barcelona or whatever. If you give away 65% possession so what as long as you are keeping the defensive area tight, so long as when you get the ball you get it quickly and neatly forward. We did nothing. But we woke up with that goal and realised they were just eleven men and we could cause them problems.
