The 'true fan' fascists like you always fail to differentiate between desire and assessment. From the 'true fan' fascist's point of view a true fan's assessment always has to concur with his desire. For the 'true fan' fascists you have to believe that things you want to happen will happen. If you merely desire the things but don't believe they'll occur you are a fake fan.

Second thing you fail at is differentiating between persons involved and observers. Saying that we'll win doesn't make YOU a winner, it does not make anybody anything, such as saying that we are going to lose does not make anybody anything. It only helps you feeling like an internet alphamale which is sad.
Its patriotism. You also shouldn't dare and defend a player or a coach who are no longer here. You should feel exactly how the patriots feel about every issue otherwise you are disgusting and shameful.

Nope. Also don't include me in that little group that tends to hate anyone who leaves. I know who you're talking about and I was never part of it.

You'd have to go back to the live thread and then this thread right after the match was over to understand. Don't come in like that when you don't. It's Nothing to do with patriotism at all.

it's getting ridiculous with your true fan's campaign.

being pessimistic about beating bayern on their home turf. fake fan i am.
There's a massive difference between pessimism and being a total bitch. Saying we have absolutely zero chance and it would take a miracle to win is not pessimism, it's being a total bitch.

Saying Bayern are favourites to progress, and hold a significant advantage is reality. Saying we're a good team and can pull off the upset if things go our way is reality.

This shit about us having zero chance, and we're already out is as stupid as saying we're guaranteed to win. We might as well not play the game then, Allegri should play the primavera and focus on Serie A... Seriously stupid shit to spout off. Away teams win. Not infrequently.

If you're talking about me, I still like Conte and wouldn't mind him coaching us again in the future down the road. I also feel entirely indifferent towards Vidal. I think he has a tendency to make idiotic comments, but that was always the case... And obviously I don't wish him success at Bayern, because that would make me a Bayern fan. But I don't think he is a Juve legend, not in the slightest. That doesn't make me a patriot.

the Champions League is a dream for us and we’d follow it, but always aware there are teams at a more advanced level. Also, don’t forget they can pay millions for a single player, whereas we cannot compete on a financial level.

These games need to help us understand how much of a gap there is from us to the superpowers. I am very happy with my group of players for giving us unforgettable nights. We must prepare for the second leg, which will be very tough, but football can have surprises.
How exactly did this game show a massive gap between us and Bayern? They dominated us for 60 minutes, we dominated them for 30 minutes and the match finished 2-2... Massive gap? What? A draw in which the overall chances, attempts on goal, etc were very similar means a massive gap? Interesting perspective.

Spot on! Every single member here knows how strong Bayern is, especially at home, and how hard it will be at their own turf, but throwing in the tower before the fight even starts is REALLY not part of the history of this club.

Fino Alla Fine became our slogan for a REAL reason. It's not just a banal saying. It's really disrespectful to just bend over and goes against everything that it is to be a supporter. When we started our campaign last season, not a single non-Juve football fan believed we would go that far, at a certain point in that match we were so close to beating the most efficient Barcelona team in history. That's the Juventus way, we fight.

But sure, let them bitch and whine about how we already lost and have no chance. I won't bother their sorry asses anymore. But for the record, you are shitty fake ass fans.

Conte's words back then. to underline the difference between Max and Conte.

Your patriotism was revealed when you were so insulted that I was arguing for Bayern's superior European record. How can you call yourself a Juve fan and think Bayern is a bigger club!! I still love you though don't worry.

The biggest patriot I'd say is @Zach. He was really upset with me. He was one post away from shouting KILL THE INFIDEL!

Btw, today we were seriously outplayed on our own turf too but we saw a weakness which is that we can win the midfield battle. Learning that came at the expense of conceding too goals while we were trying to park the bus. If we can win that midfield battle in Germany (unlikely but possible) we can make it to the next stage.

I think momentum is now on our side and we will advance to the next round with our new found confidence. It was a mistake to not test their defense in the first half, but hindsight is 20/20. Now we know though. We can keep up with Bayern. We just have to believe.

I think if the tie had ended 2-0 and our strikers wasted the chances that they scored then Max would have much humbler words.

But none of this is about Conte or Vidal. Or former players and coaches who leave. I was annoyed with both of them upon first leaving because in my opinion, they made some very unfortunate comments... That stuff happens, Conte is still a massive Juventus legend, and I hope he returns one day down the road with more experience and even more tactical acumen than he already has.

Vidal I just don't care about. I don't think he was ever one of my favourite Juve players. I liked him, and he had 2 incredible years... but that's about it.

The Bayern stuff. I honestly dislike that, but in the end it's nowhere near as big a deal as internet argument-hyperbole makes it. :p We've had our says, we each know where the other stands in that regard, so no point continuing that. :D

the question is, can we win the midfield battle in Germany? And how much will the improvement in their defense be when Kimmich (guy fucked up in both our goals) doesn't play and Boetang and the others return.

I don't believe any team that Bayern has faced this season is at our level, especially not anything that they are used to in the Bundesliga. If we play with the ball at our feet, we can hurt them. We were too scared of their name today. Our team asks nothing of theirs in my opinion.

And I really don't get how anyone could call our performance today disgraceful. We got our tactics run, and our players played with far too much timidness in the first 50-60 minutes, but hardly disgraceful, we weren't down 5-0 or 6-0, they didn't have so many good chances that they should have been up by that either... We had a very poor half, but "disgraceful", I think not.

But the last 30+ minutes makes this game a great one in my books, and I'm extremely proud of this team and our coach... Absolutely exceptional not to just throw in the towel and give up on the match at that point. Fighting back from 2-0 with 30 minutes left against a pressing - possession dominant team like Bayern is amazing, we even had a number of very good chances to find the winner. I'm psyched on the performance. This team proved that no matter the adversity, or bad odds it can fight its way back... even against the best teams in the world. And that's what gives me hope for the return leg. Not some misguided idea that we are guaranteed to win the return, but that we have a decent chance.

And I think I'm in the minority when I say I actually think we played a decent first half, but if we wouldn't have conceded we would have kept that same style in the second half which would have ultimately doomed us, so in a way Muller's goal was a blessing as Allegri loves 1-0 wins, and would have been happy with a 0-0. I noticed we were very composed in the first half, very disciplined. Our players wouldn't get caught out of position trying to pressure whichever Bayern player had the ball. Whenever one of our players would pressure the ball holder, the Munich player would pass it off to the man on their side in order to bait our player in to getting caught out of position by pressuring wherever the ball went(like how Vidal used to with us sort of), but instead our players would stay in their same lane and back track back towards our box, forcing Bayern to play through their wings. We were soaking up pressure very well, but Muller is one lucky SOB. I also think Dybala, although he didn't have a great game and his first touch was bad, really showed up tonight and showed balls in what was the biggest match in his career up to this point. Just my 2 cents.

Bayern have a habit of messing up when they get over confident and they think the tie is over.

They lost home in the following years;

2011 Bayern 2-3 Inter
2012 Bayern 1-1 Chelsea (Pens)
2013 Bayern 0-2 Arsenal
2014 Bayern 0-4 Real Madrid

reckon we can do this. I think Bayern will come in the next leg thinking the game is all over, which play to our hands.

Also: Juventus have gone through in each of the last six European knockout rounds in which they started with a home draw.
@CrimsonianKing

Apparently home draws aren't impossible to recover from
