That's a pretty bolt thing to say. Boateng would have Barzagli for breakfast in terms of physicality and ability on the ball. I know how much of a beast Barzagli was in his prime and I still rate him, but Boateng is probably the most athletic and technically gifted CB in the world at the moment. Not even mentioning he's the best tackler in the league with ~75% tackles.

Barzagli when it comes to defending is the best there has been in the last 5 years. Only a peak Thiago Silva and Chiellini come close. Nowadays Godin for me is head and shoulders above someone like Boateng.
