Idk if bayern are going to play benatia, but if they dont they have a CB Pairing of kimmich and tasci which is shit imo. We need to take full advantage of that!

Tasci is mediocre and won't play. But Kimmich has played several months as CB at this point, and he has done a surprisingly good job. His weakness is height but does the job otherwise. It helps his coach is one that is heavily flexible one tactically that supports the players in the unusual roles he finds for them. Overdoing at times but CB wise he has find good solutions so far.

Boateng has developed into a top 3 CB in the world and is absolutly essential for us.
Benatia on his day is also one of the best, as well as Martínez. We could be of worse.

Well, you actually saw far worse teams than that from CL quarter final till the end of the season last year
Only thing we're missing are center backs. And to be honest, I'd rather have that than not having a single winger and no Alaba. The rest of the team is good enough to make up for it and actually in form to do so.

If we are strictly speaking about who is the best defender then Barzagli is by far the best there is in these teams. Bonucci and Boateng are better on the ball and Chiellini when on top form is the best and most complete player of them sadly those monster games are rare nowadays.
