@Red please. I'm on 8 points and i cant repond to this guy without running the risk of getting banned on points
All i can say here is, that people still whining about our draws against FCK & FCN, shouldn't want us to "just gamble" (as someone wrote) by using a new formation for the 'first time' in a competitive game when playing CL when we must win against an inferior opponent at home. 3-5-2 is the safe solution, and look at our score against lesser opponents at home for the last two years. Have we even lost at home, apart from that distastrous Sampdoria-game where Icardi banged i two on the counter? Besides, the 3-5-2 gives us an extra attacker when attacking (and that is when we need it right?) compared to a 4-3-3, because our wing backs will push up and act as wingers, and because of our 3-man defense, we will still be able to field both a 3-man midfield AND two strikers. Honestly it doesn't get much more offensive, we often crowd the opposing box in games like these.
The 3-5-2 should do more than well, the guys know it and we usually create a decent amount of chances and set pieces around the box with it - should be more than enough to win it. And with the form Caceres has hit, a Chiellini - Bonucci - Caceres defense should be able to stop all counter attacks. Don't get me wrong, im excited to see us be able to play 4-3-3 (or 4-3-1-2 or whatever) aswell, but this is not the time to gamble. We need to win this, better go for the proven game plan
