To be honest Fred, most Arsenal fans want Barca to win as they see themselves in Barcelona.

A lot of Arsenal fans don't like Barcelona from their conduct in the Cesc Fabregas transfer all those years ago. So that's not always necessarily the case.

I think you're much more of a conformist than me, almost all your opinions are typical of a white, middle class, Belgian who comes from a family where both his parents are educated, it puts pressure on you to try and sound sophisticated sometimes, but you crave attention, so from time to time you try and be controversial(though most of the time you end up looking stupid when you do that). You're obviously well educated, but you cannot control your emotional impulses and biases, which makes you go on rants where you spew a lot of ignorance.

You watch tv series like House, and you think it's cool if you try and emulate that character, and think it's cool to look like someone whose controversial and doesn't give a shit, even though we're in an internet forum.

Our opinions are molded by the press, and our views of certain states are determined due to the interest of our respective countries agendas. We have no problem letting people die off, heck it got to a certain extent where intervention is only done, when and if there is a profit to be made.

Example, Somalia. For 17+ years they've let the country to eat itself up, and die of starvation. Stability has come, and now Americans/Brits want to do business in order to put old oil contracts into action, if Somalia don't comply, watch another 20+ year war happen, and no one will move a muscle. They'll say terrorist and pirates are ravaging the country but where the weapons come from?

This is a completely false analogy. Yes. Yes there are human rights violations in Somalia. In the Congo too. Hell, there are people being tortured in obscure places in the States as well. That is NOTHING like seeing people in debt slavery all around you.

Seven is a suburban European who sub consciously looks down on the third world. He typically believes that all us third world citizens condone everything that happens in the region. Because he cannot control his biases, selective perception kicks in, and he just doesn't see posts in which we don't conform to his standards of how a third world person thinks, acts. That explains why he thinks I'm rich and privileged when he knows absolutely nothing about me. For him, it's enough that I live in the gulf for him to imagine me in a huge villa, driving a fancy car and wearing expensive jewelery.

Unfortunately with all his education, he's never learned to be aware of his biases or be a critical thinker.

I realized that you probably weren't lying in the post where you claimed that I said I support Barca, because the definition of lying is when you knowingly say something that you know is false. In this case, I think maybe your not lying, but you're the type that has an extreme case of selective perception, so you probably actually believed it to be true when you posted it. Exactly like when you are now claiming that I condone the labor practices in Qatar, you're probably not purposely lying, but again it's that selective perception.

I do not really dispute that. I am sure there are Belgian holdings that still have interests in Congo and that is quite possible that is better for them if the dispute continues. I have little to no say over those holdings though.

That is quite different from having slaves in Antwerp.
