Who underestimated Messi? Do you even read? Or you're just trying to sound like a prick?

I said our players are using the wrong approach of talking only about Messi and praising him since couple of days now, it gives him the advantage against us. Ronaldo wasn't talked about that much and I don't see Messi as superior to Ronaldo, Ronaldo TO ME is more unpredictable than Messi. Now am I underestimating Messi here?

I've seen Juve stop Ronaldo brazilian and Zidane, but if some of you wish to kneel down on their knees and drool over then Soap it. Too much pussiness.
The pussiness around these parts are reaching greater levels. People scared of Messi, scared of Barcelona like we're fucking Sporting Lisboa. So-called fans.

my main concern is that barcelona have two more world class strikers besides messi. i've also seen juve stop ronaldo, zidane and cr, but those teams didn't have the likes of neymar and suarez.

i really hope that this will be a midfield battle that we can absolutely win. if they get past our midfielders too often and those 3 strikers face our defenders a couple of times then we're screwed i guess.

i'm sure we can do it though.

We should be physical with them, defend deep and tight. Play quick long balls to Tevez and Morata to avoid pressure in the MF, that's the way to do it imo.

No.

Ronaldo is more talented physically that's it. Messi does everything better. Passing, dribbling, Finishing, you name it .....
Even, lets say even if I believe that Messi is better there isn't much difference between the two and this is exactly why I don't understand why Juve players are highlighting him almost everyday.

And to come here to the forums and see the same reaction by some, what would these glory-hunter fans say about us when viewing forums or this thread? Pussies? Laugh at you? I've never seen Juve fans shit bricks, and I can understand the feeling after Calciopoli but Calciopoli has passed the mentality HAS to change unless the majority met the Juve side when Conte took over and aren't too fond of Juve before 06-07.

You know who doesn't play football? You know who is a diving, weak ass, weak willed and poor excuse of a football player? Busquets. Seriously. FUCK Busquets. I don't want to hear that name here again. He does not exist.
I don't think there's a football player that i despise more.

There's a difference between being pussy, and recognising that we're facing one of the greatest players ever to play the game.

I think we can win this. All I'm saying is that if we allow Messi to play the way he wants, he will destroy us, as he would any team.

58 goals and 23 assists in 50 games this season.

Cut off the supply to him, and we can do this. I'd say our midfield and defence are better than theirs.

The one big difference is Messi, the best player in the world. (Ronaldo is fantastic too, but IMO he's not on the same level, Messi can conjure something from nothing).

It's not "pussy" to say that we have to be worried about Messi. It's not "pussy" to say that if we let him on the ball, he'll destroy us, he does that to everyone.

I'm being realistic in saying that our best chance to neutralise Messi is to stop him getting the ball in the first place, because once he gets it it's practically impossible to get him off it.

Yes, but Ronaldo scores insane headers. The two are just vastly different.
They are different, but Messi has more to his game. Ronaldo can score in many different ways, but he can't dribble in tight spaces, and score the kind of goal Messi scored against Bilbao. He's also not as much of a playmaker as Messi is. Messi is as good a goalscorer as Ronaldo, plus he's a playmaker; that in my mind makes him more complete than Ronaldo.

Also most players seem to think Messi is the better footballer too. Just today Pogba said this: :p

Playing with Messi would be a dream come true. He's the best player in the world."

Chiellini: "But Messi is now the god of football. It’s difficult to compare him with Diego Maradona, Pele and company, but he’s probably the best player of the last 30 years."

I remember beating the likes of Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo and Raul in one game. We got this. :flag2:

As he plays now, Messi $#@!s all over Ronaldo.
So...

Messi 50 games - 58 goals - 23 assists

shits all over:

Ronaldo 47 games - 59 goals - 19 assists

:shifty:

This argument is so stupid. The difference between them is slim to none this year, in terms of tangible results. Ronaldo also doesn't play with Neymar and Suarez who are both top 5 attackers in the world. He plays with Bale and Benzema up front who are nowhere near top 5 attackers in the world.

Messi is better than Ronaldo, but the difference is microscopic. Saying he shits all over Ronaldo is just ridiculous.
