What a match :lol2:

At our home turf, against a 10 man Maccabi Haifa and we managed a 1-0 goal where Buffon was the man of match. Such a shame
i completely agree...against any other quality side we wouldve prob lost

the sloppiness in our build up play is so frustrating and again a failure to create clear cut chances

both gigi and seba were outstanding tonite and its a shame that weve played like 10games already and for once seba is played in position

Buffon 7.5 Winner
Zebina -
(Caceres 5 Where?)
Cannavaro 6 Busy
Chiellini 7 Decisive
Grosso 6.5 Connective
Sissoko 6 Active
Melo 6+ Aggresive
(Poulsen 5.5 quiet)
Camoranesi 7 Technical
Diego 6.5 Motivated
Giovinco 7.5 Atomic
Trezeguet 5.5 Unlucky

I think Amauri and Iaquinta may be more effective at the moment as they can allow the midfield trio to get closer to the goal.

Seen the game? Apart from some lack of effectivety, a few off moments at the back and the need for a few adjustments I really liked what I saw.
I liked our three attacking midfielders and some Grosso action. Sissoko was also dominant but other than that, we were bad.

As you said, efficiency is totally absent.

    Sloppiness is totally dominant.

To see Buffon as a man of match against a 10-man Haifa is not really something to be proud of.

this is how u attack we aren't Bari or Palermo we are Juventus we should attack all the time.
And they link up so well already at times. With a bit more passing and a little less Sissoko (this isn't an anti Momo thing, just he can't make the killer pass ever), they will gel into a lethal trio.

And I voted Buffon for MoM because of the nice save at the end, but it could have been Giovinco as well. He caused the most problems.

The Diego-Camo-Gio combo got a leathel potential. Just to think its the first game for them playing together and in this new formation is very promesing. Lets hope Ciro has the balls to keep playing like that and few minor tweaks and we will be great again.

My MoM is Gio, classy game from the kid and Buffon just did is regular shit nothing special.

My highlight: Del piero and Nedved Sitting in the stand together :touched:

    Simply put.
    4-2-3-1 > 4-3-1-2

depite the performance tonight we looked better. And to be fair, their keeper was on top form too and made great great saves.

The Giovinco-Diego-Camoranesi line up is something we should be seeing more, because they caused chaos in patches. Just need some more final balls in.
The problem though is that there isn't anyone on the bench you can sub for any of the three, without changing the formation... I'd now like to see the same setup vs Siena...

Good point, I think Sissoko and Melo can afford to stay back more in this formation and focus on covering the gaps. Giovinco, Diego and Camo already upset the balance, they can do the attacking with less 'support' from Melo and Sissoko.

If there's 1 thing that pisses the shit out of me its this thing we do of sucking tits after we score a goal. I just dont get how we dont learn from this defending a one goal lead

Iaquinta and De Ceglie can play on the flanks. I'd reinforce the midfield though when one is absent and play two of the trio behind a striker.

i said it before 4-2-3-1 with Giovinco and Diego and expect that Giovinco outshone Diego cause he rules in this position!! just keep it Ciro!

Gigi Buffon - 7.5/10 - Only called on a few times, reacted brilliantly

Jon Zebina- 6/10 - Made it look effortless for the short time he was on the pitch,
begining to think i was wronga about him.

Giorgio Chiellini - 7/10 - competent, nice goal.

    Fabio Cannavaro - 6.5/10 - competent.

Fabio Grosso - 6/10 - Average going forward and defending, a Zedenek performance

Felipe Melo - 6/10 - Learned well from the soaker, Imposed himself against a bunch of jes, not really wow stuff

Momo Sissoko - 7/10 - Showed why he is key to our team, chased balls bullied defenders.

Diego ribas - 5.5/10 - Poor for what I expect.

Mauro Camoranesi - 6.5/10 played quite well when he drifted out to RMF

Seba Giovinco - 8.5/10 - By far our best player tonight, dribbles and passes like a champ, took a carbon copy alex free kick, with the confidence to go it alone he'll be great. Wasn't bothered by the bullying he recieved. he showed up Diego. MOM

David Trezegeut - 6.5/10 - better than Amauri or Iaq thats for sure, flashes of whats to come

    Subtitutes:

Martin Kackereres - 5.5/10- Anonymous but competent
Christian Poulsen - 6/10 - Anonymous but competent
Amauri- N/A, forgot he was on the pitch

Team Performance - 4/10 - wastefull of chances, woefull overall in attack, sup-par in defence, lacking a hard kick up the arse.

Yeah me too! I enjoyed it, and everyone played very good. The only thing we lacked is scoring, thou we fell of the match at the last 10 minutes or more..
