All i want is a good performance ffs. Show some grinta and grind out a result to be proud of. If we come with that same nonchalant, carefree, BUll$hit attitude we had against Samp, we will lose badly.

Right now i dont see any progression in us as a team.

Hopefully this game can make the players take responsibility and turn things around.

No he's not taking longer, we're usually quite bad around this time of the season with him.
Viola merda last season comes to mind. Around the same time and similar shocking performance. That was the point when we changed to 4231.

Asamoah and Sturaro will be key.

Benatia  If he starts then God help us all
I don't see much of a difference between Benatia, Rugani and Barzagli atm. As for Chiellini, a lot of passion and tackling but he's simply not a defensive organiser, which is why he misses Bonucci so much.

Can't see anything but a loss unfortunately. But then again, I want us to finish second. Means we avoid Real, Barcelona and Bayern, when they begin to pick up form in February.

Winner mentality :touched:

Yea because mentality affects the outcome of the game right? Seriously the only reason I'm saying this is because the defence is far from convincing at the moment. Come a couple of months time, I may change my mind.

If we lose, we have to get a result in Greece, and that's not a guarantee by any means. The way we've been performing lately, I'd be greatly concerned about our chances of progressing from the group if we don't secure at least a draw tomorrow night. We need it, more for our confidence than anything else. Our performances in the CL this season have been incredibly disappointing, with the exception of that 1st half in the reverse fixture against Barca.

Remember the frozen kebab game a few years ago? We don't want to go into the "Cauldron of Athens" needing a win on the final matchday.

Avoiding Bayern and Real (we can't meet Barca again anyway, not until the QFs provided we make it that far) is a bonus, but we need to make it past the group stage first and then worry about our potential opponents.

I'm ok with that Lineup , Barza has the routine even if he is turning in to a grandfather from ww2, physically speaking.

The midfield need to step it up however. We need khedira and pjanic to shine today.

Also, going to be interesting to see dybala on the left. He had a good time in that position back in his Palermo days
