Links? I don't have news links, it happened 2 months before the forums were shut, and goallegacy was created.

nah the administrator /manager and also my friend was fired 2 months after that. they shut down the forums and whole section of those employees were fired :(

I get where Allegri was coming from, he needed to maintain a more defensive and conservative approach to prevent Atletico from scoring in any case in view that a draw would suffice. It would've been a different case if Atletico had maintained their approach in the second half like they did in the first, where they were the more likely to score. Luckily, Atletico was happy to sit back and defend, and Juve could maintain the same team - scoring was not as important as it was not to concede in this match. It felt like Allegri was just waiting for Simeone to make a move, but he never did, so a draw it was. I was anxious and worried that Atletico might somehow go one gear up or score a counter from a Bonucci mispass or something (more likely Vidal who had a pretty woeful game esp in the first half) but thankfully they never did.

We are through and that's all that matters!

I'm happy with our performance against Atletico, but I have to point out that Man City needed to win and score. I think Roma lost the group with the draw against CSKA Moscow. With 2 more points they would need any draw to continue and if City scored they would only need a goal. Still they are Roma - lack of experience, main transfer this summer was done only to outplay us for Iturbe, but what they really needed is a goalscorer. They are also using 38 years old player and leave De Rossi, Florenzi on the bench...
