I've got criticised here this season for saying our attack is not good enough but it's painfully obvious after this match when we didn't create one single chance in a CL final.
Buying Benatia is an example of the mentality. Defence is the last thing we need to work on yet we are buying more of them still.

What a surprise that the usual suspects (Higuain and Khedira) seem to be getting the most shit for this loss again. At least it seems Mandzukic has nowadays gotten out of that company, good for him. Football is a team sport you lose as a team and you win as a team. Always trying to blame the same individual players for the losses is just lazy and intellectually dishonest.
Football has changed to a more aggressive attacking game and we are left behind.
The teams that take more risks in attack are generally the teams that win the CL.
Our defence realistically will not improve so we should be focusing on other area's like not having Lemina and Asamoah as subs.
I appreciate Barzagli and Khedira but they had a poor final and offered nothing.
Mandzukic is not a left winger but he stepped up tonight but I would still rather see someone like Sanchez in his position.

People who say we have mentality issues and im not disagreeing with that. What kind of coach can solve those issues when you think about it? Maybe only Ancelotti who brought Real their first title in 12 years. Thats where the belief and confidence came. Lets remember Ronaldo joined Real in 2009 but only won CL in 2014.
