1st of all Welcome to the Forum

2nd i wouldn't mind moving thuram right back if Zebina and Biri are out of action.
nope ..Cannavaro and Thuram is a fortress in the middle and we should build on that... no use for us to even consider moving thuram to the right anymore.. i'd put tudor or ferarra on the right if Birindelli fail to recover ...

I like that idea better than forcing Thuram's ageing legs to run down the right flank.

I'm sure that Bayern will still put a tough fight against us even without Ze Roberto. We must never underestimate Bayern and watch out for Makaay + Ballack. I'm sure those 2 will be back to terrorise our defence. I wil put Tudor as the rite defender role if Biri fails to recover in time.

i am sure though Thurams's ageing legs still have what it takes to run the right flank...i have seen much older right back than him... its just i dun want to disturb to momentum of impact Thurams is having at centre back...

yeah i agree , we shouldn't disturb the fortress of thuram and cana in the back "for now" cuz sooner or later they will need to rest.

But if zambro is playing then he or pessoto can go and play on the right, no problems, if not i hope that tudor plays there, but i think capello is going to put thuram there.

Of course the first priority is leaving the almost invincible central defensive pairing as it is, but I just don't think Thuram's as well equipped to maraud the wing as he used to be

thuram + canna is our bone of our defence. we shouldn't break it, i agree we should put tudor or ferrara on the RB if zambro, biri can't play.

naahh..centre backs dont really need rest... they can usually play every minute of every match in the season without a dent on their quality..if they have them in the first place of coz..

This match might be easier as the home-match was. As bayern will want to attack now, which in turn will give us more space in attack. So I have a slight feeling they might dominate the first half but we could hit them on the counter or something similar.

Good point Dominic. The question is though, will we attack with this knowledge in mind, or will we try to settle for the draw?

i think this question should only be ask in the middle of the 2nd half of the game... i think Juve will start this match with the same mentality with the previous 12.. to win it.. we just too high in form not to...

so what do you think will happen if it's 0-0 in the middle of the second half?

I think aressandro meant we will see how our team's playing at that moment. We shall see in the middle of the second half if we can take them or if we should settle for the draw.

our players and Capello have no problem going for the draw...

i hope it dont happen that way though... as it will dent our team's edge... rather that a 0-0 drawa, i rather Bayern score first and then we equalise later deep in the 2nd half...

i think juve will settle for a draw at the beginning of the game. their main aim is to prevent bayern grabs all 3 points.
if they success, the last 2 games will be no pressure for them.

IMO , i hope Juve's staff's also, that these things should only be considered in the 2nd half... starting a game without a aim to win it is an invitation to disaster ... 90 minutes is too long for that..
