27' Del Piero (Juventus) misses the target.

24' Deportivo's spell of dominance is entirely due to some excellent midfield play, closing down their opponents in the middle before bursting forward at pace. The only thing lacking is the final ball.

wtf are tacchi, appiah etc doing...!!

but you know what's really cool?

If Depor keeps on trying and all (like Barca did against us) and in the end we walk off with the 3 points thanks to like, one chance

hahahaha

I truly do not comprehend the need to put such a defensive line up for this match??
I think the lineup is quite good, less defensive and we would be eaten alive I think.

And Depor are really set on counterattacks, we need to watch them.

29' Zambrotta (Juventus) misses the target.
28' Del Piero (Juventus) delivers the corner.
Thuram's persistence pays off, chasing down a hesitant Lionel Scaloni on (for the French right-back) the wrong side of the pitch and forcing him into conceding the corner kick.
27' Del Piero (Juventus) misses the target.
Some relief for the visitors, but José Molina is happy just to watch it fly over the crossbar.
26' Calls for a penalty as Valerón falls under Pessotto's challenge on the edge of the area, but the French official is unimpressed. The midfield player is certainly proving a handful with his powerful runs

UEFA is so cruel :D

Juvenator I meant an away victory

I just think we lack some creativity in the lineup Torkel. If we'd be more attacking they'd probably may be more scared and I don't know, retreat slightly or something :D

33' Pessotto (Juventus) commits a foul after challenging Víctor (Deportivo).
32' Sergio (Deportivo) misses the target.
31' Molina (Deportivo) makes a save.
31' Del Piero (Juventus) has an effort on goal.
The experienced Italian international darts inside the static Depor defence, but the home keeper is quick of his line and blocks brilliantly.
29' Zambrotta (Juventus) misses the target.
28' Another right-wing cross by the busy Víctor, but it is mis-cued and flies high over Buffon's goal.

1 Shots on goal 1
5 Attempts on goal 3
4 Fouls committed 9
3 Corners 1
52% Ball possession 48%
51 - 49 now. Stats tell me it is a very even game, but Uefa commentary tell me something entirely different.
