If all 3 of Boa, JM, and Ben are out, Vidal should start as a CB against better teams if Pep has any clue.

Badstuber-Vidal-Alaba would be the best combo with the others out.

Vidal was amazing when he played in that role for us in one game. He also played as a CB in a back-4 for us once and played as a CB (and even FB) for Chile multiple times. He's good pretty much anywhere you put him in midfield or defense.

That quote is very old, from before tests were done, and he probably meant no long-term injury. It's been confirmed that Javi Martinez is out for 4 weeks and will be out of the first leg.
