Bayern Munich?

$#@! it.

Bring it on. Juve put themselves in this position, now they get to fight their way out of it.

This team either better A) Get those midfielders healthy between now and mid-January so that Pogba and Marchisio aren't run into the ground by the time they face Bayern or B) Open those purse strings in january to get some help. Can't have 4 midfielders hurt and expect marchisio, Sturaro, and Pogba to keep this pace up. It won't happen. They will break down.
Exactly. The midfield is our vulnerability :)sergio:) you saw what Fio did to this mid, now just imagine what Vidal, Tiago et al are gonna do to it. They are gonna run us ragged.

Surprisingly am confident too against Bayern, really.

I even had a bet with several of my friends that we'd go through, of course they all thought that it was a joke :D

But 1 thing I'm always sure of, don't ever bet against Juve (or the Italian NT too) if all the odds are against them because they'll surprise you.

Well, this is our biggest test now as a big club. If we can't beat Bayern then we shouldn't be getting our hopes up of another run like last year.

I feel confident Allegri will have the boys prepared.

Two things I'm most worried about:

-Chiellini. God help us if the pitch is even remotely damp or is alone with a guy in the box.
-Mandzukic: if he is injured. Everything now starts with him putting pressure on anyone on the back line and its priceless IMO in how it helps the team.

I'm sure everyone is obviously worried about Coman/Vidal as its probably the perfectly written script to end our CL but I feel confident they will be contained. They have other players I'm more worried about.

You know what? You're right. That's some excellent thinking there. We drew Bayern and we're only in the 2nd round, the winner will go the quarter finals. If we can't beat Bayern, they will have beaten us, because only one team can win. Which means that in that case we won't make it to the quarter finals. Last year we reached the final, which is obviously better than not even reaching the quarter finals.

Again, some excellent thinking on your part. You really added something to this forum with this gem.

Some opinions from Germany:

Pep Guardiola: "This are going to be two crazy games. Juventus are the finalists of last year and one of the best teams in Europe. Juventus has not started well in Calcio, but this is normal with many new players. But now they are strong. Juventus has a great mentality. They are very strong. The mood in the team is: win, win, win. They have dominated the last four or five years in Italy. We have great respect and to catch the right moment. It depends on in which rhythm we are".

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "A very heavy, but also very attractive draw. It is a reunion among others with our former striker Mario Mandzukic. To reach the quarter-finals we need against the Italian champions two very good games. "

Matthias Sammer: „An attractive opponents, we all know very well. Recently, we have turned in our victorious Champions League season 2012/2013 Juventus. Currently, Turin presented after initial difficulties again in very good shape. If we want to get in the top eight in Europe, but we must be against Juventus in top condition twice. "

Philipp Lahm: „A very nice duel between two top teams, a European classic. Juve was last season in the final, which is already a major challenge, but we want to go to the quarterfinals and for all. "

Thomas Müller: „Turin has a very clever team and Mario Mandzukic is of course a top scorer, we know so well because of his time in Munich. We have always had good experiences with Juve in the Champions League. Above all, I am looking forward to the Turin stadium, which is an experience. "

Jerome Boateng: „A strong opponent, ripped off and tactically outstanding. Nevertheless, we are the favorites, but have two very good games deliver to get ahead. "

Kingsley Coman: "Juventus is mainly tactically very well prepared. We have to figure out something. Then we will manage."

Franz Beckenbauer: "Juve are back and strong. That's one of the best teams we have in Europe, even from her tradition. As you can already click your tongue/watering mouth. For Bayern it is good only away to play and in the second leg all clear making. That would at least my calculation. chances are, however 50:50. but it is definitely a great game. "

Big deal. If Bayern is as unbeatable as some of you say, we'd have inevitably met them and lost anyway. You guys sad we might go out a round or two early?
Yup. Is better to lose to them now...than to take it easy the whole road, and crash out against them or Barcelona in the final,, ONCE AGAIN.
So we better beat them now, or simply go out. No point in breaking everyones´s heart 2 years straight.

Actually, $#@!, I just realised this aint the same juup heynckes side that kicked our asses under conte. That Bayern haunted the $#@! out of me.. you know what... its do-able.
Thats what is aid earlier.

This time our team is stronger and more mature. And we have a better coach who is not as naive in europe.

If Vidal scores it'll be pretty hurtful. You know he'll celebrate.
I would not be surprised to see him running toward the bayern fanbase and doing the heart shape celebration. That would really seal it for me.

Oh man, the face on Vidal would literally be priceless and I mean PRICELESS.
Please this.

those last 2 matches against bayern were two sobering defeats to remember. they simply tore us apart on both wings.
It was a painful beating, they really trampled us mentally, tactically and physically. It was a hurtful defeat because we showed nothing, we commited some ugly mistakes on the first leg and were bended over tactically. It was a disaster.

Luckily this bayern team is less compact that heyncked team.... and they have guardiola who can fuck up from time to time.

Lewandowski tho...

You love ze german wiener so hard :howler:
Aftrr inter I hate bayern more than any other club in the world and more than anybody on this forum. Compared to what I feel towards bayern I love napoli, roma, barca, real and milan from the deepest of my heart. But I can only be optimistic within realistic borders. They are gonna add a lot of 'flexibility to our squad' all 180 minutes long.
