Looking at sheer talent, we obviously are the best team in the group. That's how people can be so sure.
I'd argue that having lost Tevez and Vidal, talent-wise, City is definitely above us. We're definitely above Sevilla and Gladbach. However, we have a bunch of individual pieces in midfield and attack that have hardly played together, so I don't see how it could be anything other than wait and see to get an idea of how these new pieces will gel, and how good we actually are once they do.

You are wrong. We are obviously the best and most talented team in the group, and top 4 in Europe. Losing Vidal, Tevez and Pirlo is nothing to a club of our magnitude and glorious history.

While I agree totally with that, I see that we have very little time on our hands to gel like they should. Not to mention the very badly planned pre-season.

That gelling time is indeed a factor.
Hence the reason people are rightfully worried about getting the toughest group this year. It would have been much better to get an average to easy group.

Our defense > City

Our midfield = City

Our attacking midfield < City

Our attack/forward line <<< City
:agree:

If they get De Bruyne...

Our attacking midfield <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< City

I actually meant top two, sorry. City are definitely equal.

 Agree there.

B81 is awesome. His realism (pessimism --- but don't tell him i said this) is awesome, and amusing. I enjoy the posts of people on both sides of the coin here. I think Zizinho is great, I love his crazy (some would say delusional) optimism. Same thing with JCKs doomsaying at times... It's one of the things that makes this place so entertaining and great, these vast gulfs and divides in opinion.

I don't get how people can be so sure about how good we are. We just lost to Udinese. Our first opening day home loss in our entire history of Serie A. There are far too many "ifs" with this team to be sure that we are going through against a very impressive looking ManCity that may strengthen even further, last years EL champs in Sevilla (who to be fair also face many ifs without Bacca and Vidal), and an underrated Gladbach. If our Sporting Director did a good job this summer, we should go through, but it's wait and see time in that regard.
Dude you change your opinions quite frequently :D And they are very strong opinions too.

They are special. Both of them, along with the other special one form the formidable triumvirate of delusion for Tuz FC.

They are like the Powerpuff Girls of Tuz. Zach is Buttercup, DP84 is Blossom, and Zizinho is Bubbles.
Don't try to make it like there is another triumvirate on here that comes CLOSE to the original triumvirate aka "The Flat Earthers" you, Cronios and Turk.

on paper? Definitely city are better.
Aguero, Silva, Yaya.. these three are at the highest level. Our best player is Pogba and he is not at Yaya's level yet.

We have a better defense thats about it.
