Only Zach could underestimate you guys. Don't you worry you have our respect it's an excellent group for no reason. I rate herrman certainly one to look out for.
I've got no problems with his comments at all.
No one really talks about us or thinks we've got a shot and if you're just looking on the paper, us finishing 4th is what would happen.

Though, I just think him believing us playing absolutely offensive minded(as long as we aren't down) is a misconception given that we've got no problem sitting back and playing a counter attacking style. ;)

on paper? Definitely city are better.
Aguero, Silva, Yaya.. these three are at the highest level. Our best player is Pogba and he is not at Yaya's level yet.

We have a better defense thats about it.
Zaba vs Licht, about the same
Bonbon vs Kompany, with the level Kompany has been reaching so far this season, Kompany
Mangala/Otamendi vs Chiellini, if he keeps concentrated, small advantage for Chiellini
Kolarov vs Sandro, Sandro

So I think they are about at the same level.

Its not about individuals though, city have always had good individual defenders. They never seem to defend well as a unit though.

Morata, Pogba, Sandro, Cuadrado, Mandzukic, etc... And our defense :tuttosport:
Come on man. Only Pogba is on the level of those 3 city players.

But i go back again to my point about it not being about individuals, or else Real and Barca would be winning the CL every year .

Ppl need to get over Vidal's sale. He was nothing special last year. Pogba and Marchisio were far more influential for team's results. I think when Vidal will be shit you all realise that. Also Yaya was terrible last season so I wouldn't be so worried about him as well.

City will beat us at their place.

The game comes too soon for us, fitness levels, injuries and also rhythm of the team is missing. Put the NT break in, comes at the worst possible time for us

Our midfield constisting of Marchisio, Pogba and Pereyra is arguably better than what City has at their disposal atm.

Won't even bother with explaining defensive aptness of our BBC.

Their attacking line seems better, but that's only on paper. When reality sets in few might be surprised.

Agree, we'll see how they do, they started impressive this season, let's see if they keep it up, also in Europe. (hopefully not)

Pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised?

Licht is much better defensively. Zaba is much better offensively so I can grant you that they are equal though zabaleta is always injured.
Bonnucci has been better for years especially last season. This season we only had one game and city had 3. Assuming Kompany is in his best form they'll be about equals.
Chiellini is miles better than Mangala and Otamendi. Barzagli too.
I wouldn't say sandro is better until we see more of him but Kolarov has been very unimpressive since he left lazio so I'd be thoroughly disappointed if Sandro is equal to him. Evra from last season is clearly the better player.

As a unit, City has one of the worst defenses amongst the big clubs while we have arguably the best.

If you don't count Silva and nasri as midfielders then you might have an argument.. otherwise

Yaya>Pogba and Silva is ten times the player pereyra (or draxler for that matter but by a less margin) is and Nasri is definitely better than pereyra too. Fernandinho and/or Fernando are below marchisio.

Then they have wingers in Sterling and Navas (and nasri) with Aguero leading the attack.

I think we have a much better coach though.

no hes not
I haven't watched Otamendi nearly enough to be honest but Valencia never struck me as having a great defense while Chiellini is one of the best muscle defenders in the business.
