I really blame the midfield. They are passing the ball around (Rabiot and Motta primarily) too close to the defense with half the team waiting upfront. They dont even clear the ball when in danger. Chelsea is pressing them very well and can counter at great speed and have been dispossessing them consistently whenever PSG try the slow build up game. When they cant manage to do it they hoof the ball to short people like Lucas and Di Maria and you get the bouncing balls that Chelsea push the bouncing ball into empty space and run to it with their fast wingers.

Their midfield has gaping hole, cant keep proper possession, Raboit and Matuidi pass back to the defence or to Motta who does the same, making them trapped until they hoof it, missing the skillfull and unstoppable little wizard for sure. Would run rings around Chelsea mid.

True. There's too much space between defense and midfield. I just don't get defenders rushing against the Chelsea player with the ball. It leaves their defense wide open.

P$G are really not that strong of a team. I know they are missing Veratti but they really should be doing more against a mediocre Chel$ea side.
