I think you might be on to something. I kind of agree.
Barcelona can handle bayern playing a wide and pressing game. Bayern is supposed to be good on stretching the play and playing both wide and central, with impressive winger movement. Barcelona added tons of vertical danger, keeps the game wide to get danger in the center.
Whilst Barcelona is pretty well suited against a wide game with their wingbacks and playstyle, they also got a central defence that is very good against any type of crosses, whilst mascherano has shown to easely wall off any central attacks.
On the other hand, Bayern's central axis isnt as good as it was 2 years ago. Even if all is fit, their wont nearly be in that form, they dont have that defensive strength. They will have a much harder time coping with Iniesta's infiltration and vertical passing, they cant compensate with their typical high pressure wide play, as barcelona is simply better at it. And barcelona WILL hurt that center.
Both Juventus and Athletico have a downright impressive central axis. Both have central midfielders that can protect trough balls and win in the small space, both got potent central defenders, and both got a dangerous counter.
On the other hand, both juventus and athletico's tight deep defending gameplay is countered by bayern's wide play and continious crossing and winger roaming dangers. Both Barcelona and Bayern are excellent at containing Juventus and Athletico. But with barcelona the wide play is all about low and early drill crosses or to create gabs for the central attackers. You can anticipate that. Bayern however, will get wingers continiously in more dangerous zones, and can get to the end of any kind of cross, making it far, far more difficult to succesfully defend deep against.
