Odds are certainly in our favor, 60-40 at least. We simply have more quality in every area of the pitch. That being said we shouldn't underestimate Monaco and I hope that our players approach the game with the right mindset, as at this stage of the CL every team possesses enough quality to get favorable result, if the other side gets too complacent.
More of this please.

Not the sole reason of course, but I do think so, yes, especially with Gala.

is not a direct response or complimentary over what we currently talk about but nevertheless relevant...

Last season, individual errors and sheer misfortune caused them to go out in the group stage, but they bounced back in the Europa League, advancing to the semis. In other words, they were disappointing in Europe, but not atrocious. More telling than the results was the way they played. Conte often had them wound tighter than a drum. In Serie A, where there was an evident gap in talent, it was the right approach: opponents were blown away by their intensity early on and they could manage games.

In Europe, however, opponents seemed to absorb Juve's intensity, leading them to get more frustrated and, perhaps, fearing failure. Engaging in this sort of pop psychology -- particularly when you're not in the dressing room -- is tricky and prone to misreads. But that's the impression you're left with when you compare, say, the Europa League semifinal against Benfica last season (or the away trip against Atletico Madrid in the group stage this year, when they were still in "Conte mode") and the two legs against Borussia Dortmund this year.

Those Juve teams tried to outwork and outwill the opposition, and when it didn't work, nerves quickly became frayed. This Juve team seems more accomplished, more self-assured, more confident that it can outplay the opposition without needing to turn it into some kind of epic battle of wits.
in some ways it can be said that we were actually over estimating our opponents when we was in "conte mode", didn't help that all those famous bitching conte spewed from his mouth about restaurants and construction sites :sergio:

If Monaco thinks they can play us with the same tactics they played Arsenal with then they are in for a bitter surprise. I'm not saying they can't win but they better have something in their back pocket when their counter attack fails or when their 11 men behind the ball can't hold the pressure.
We play against defensive sides that park the bus every week. We should be able to handle the tactic for sure.

I'd still just give them the ball and let them try and break us down without their favourite weapon, the counter. Against Dortmund we've shown that we can hurt a team very effectively that way as well.

Monaco is a good side, but we have a very good opportunity here. Just have to approach the matches like we want it. First leg is at home so we have to go for it.

Tactically Dortmund and Monaco are very different.

Dortmund play with a high defensive line and use counter pressing to regain lost possession, it leaves them exposed at the back. Basically they defend as a team from the front.

Monaco sit deep and hit teams on the break, typical counter attacking team like Atletico madrid. If they lose possession they retreat and organize unlike dortmund who press high up in numbers.

we need to beat them on the 1st leg in Turin. If Juve doesn't win the first leg, without doubt they will park the bus and do the same

We'll play either 352 or 4321.

Licht-Bonu-Chiello-Evra
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchi
Pereyra
Tevez-Morata

Bonu-Barza-Chiello
Licht-Vidal-Marchi-Pereyra-Evra
Tevez-Morata

Both formations are not perfect, we need to trust Pirlo in such important game or trust Barzagli who just recovered. Both scenarions can be a defensive liability.
