You don't become a top 5 team after 1 match. Even Celtic beat Barca once. FFS, PSG just got done drawing Ajax the match before. They have 3 wins out of 8 matches in the FRENCH LEAGUE.
I'm basing it on how they performed last year, as they would have easely made the Semi Finals if they didnt lost zlatan with injury, and fucked up defensively.
Actually, you know i said that earlyer

For me, this victory today, is further proof, but not the only proof, as you deliberatly wrongly imply here. Please dont use such logical fallacies

Barcelona's downfall is not based on an individual. Sure, they had/have an insane generation of players there, but it's tiki taka that's dying, not players.
Xavi is the reason why Barcelona and Spain(to slightly lesser extend) are the only two teams in history who got mighty succesfull with Tiki taki, for such a long period
That period beeing entirely Xavi's prime. Coincidence ? i think not.

Without Xavi, no team can succesfully play tiki taki like they did. With him gone, and his individual qualities gone, so is tiki taki, and so is the decay of barcelona in effect

PSG will never be a top 5 team, they spend so much and can't win shit, just like City.
Dude, PSG was having a perfect season untill the return of the quarter final, where they were without zlatan

I'd like to see Man city confidently beat chelsea 3-1 in a quarter final, if they ever get there in the first place, or even out of their group this year

Well their counter attack is very effective so that leads to less times where they have to build from the back. If they win the ball and immediately transition to offense, there is actually less need to build slowly. But in any case, they are plenty capable of doing that, especially in Serie A.

Their pressing is an opportunistic tactic. It's not a constant press, more like when the opposition is in certain areas of the pitch.

Roma are a well balanced team in my mind.
Very good counter attacking side i agree, the transition from defense to attack is quick after they win the ball is quick but it also helps them that the team attacking them is not organised like city were today.Poor tactics from city they were clearly a man short in mf.

Look at the heatmap of both teams city possession based with players interchanging positions, like how we play and look at roma how fragmented and disconnected their play is.

If you remember our game last year against roma which we won 3- 0 at home we had 44% possesion.

I just don't see them as well balanced as in i dont think they are effective when they have majority of the ball/possession.

Well it depends on their opponent. Against a top 10 team in Europe, they will not dictate the play with their possession. They will prefer to counter.

In Serie A, they will absolutely dictate play with their possession. There are only a handful of teams in the world that can play effectively against anyone and with any style.

Well I agree with you that they don't play like us.

They are very direct and very, very quick in transition. If they can kill a game like that then they will do it. But if Verona just gives them the ball and hopes to counter themselves I think Roma will still rape them.

Roma still has 61% possession this year which is 6th in all of Europe. We are 5th at 62%.
