They were far superior and they dominated ever since they conceded from that penalty. No idea what you're saying since they dominated for like 70 minutes. Of course they were building attacks and creating chances. Last 20 minutes they paced down, they were obviously exhausted, so they went defensive and relied on counters.
Well their counter attack is very effective so that leads to less times where they have to build from the back. If they win the ball and immediately transition to offense, there is actually less need to build slowly. But in any case, they are plenty capable of doing that, especially in Serie A.
Their pressing is an opportunistic tactic. It's not a constant press, more like when the opposition is in certain areas of the pitch.
