What do you mean loosing rangers? there is no more rangers in scotish league?
They went bust and ceased to exist as a club.

Had to start as a new club in the fourth tier.

They are in the second tier just now.

Celtic are so fucking bad it's unreal. Losing Rangers from the league actually made them complacent and uncompetitive.
Not entirely sure what's going on with them.

They keep on posting decent financial figures year on year, but they don't come close to replacing the players they sell.

Either their scouting system is being found out and the couple of good players they've signed in recent years have been flukes or they have cut their budget because they can afford to do that and still win the league.

So it is possible that they have cash reserves waiting to be spent in the next year or two to try and go up a level or two whenever New Rangers appear in the league, but it seems remarkably foolish to cut their budget by enough to miss out on ~£15m by not getting into the CL. Or maybe they don't have the reserves and are being forced to cut budgets because of how shit attendances are at Parkhead these days.

Still, great news for Aberdeen. A large part of us having the chance to close the gap on Celtic in the next few years has to be them consistently missing out on that kind of windfall.

Also shows how unlucky we were in the draw for the EL. I don't think either Legia or Maribor are better than the Groningen team we had to beat in order to play Real Sociedad and obviously none of them are anything like at Real Sociedad's level.

I read a little on the Celtic forum a few weeks ago that the BOD were basically using Rangers' absence as a means of having a few low key years where they could straighten their finances.

Looks like they gambled badly with the new manager, but that can happen sometimes in the preliminaries. To effectively lose both ties says something is missing. It would be good to see Aberdeen, ICT or whoever run them really close this year.

Entiely possible, but I didn't think their finances were in bad shape before.

There is a small chance that Arsenal are knocked out today.Their most consistent performer in Ramsey is suspended,Alexis hasn't settled in,and Giroud is out due to an injury. If Besitkas knock in a goal,it could mean goodbye Arsenal:tuttosport:

Meh.

I've come to accept that every year there will be a chance of Arsenal losing in the qualifying round and that they will always go through.

That'll convince them they can do something significant in the league or the CL but, before you know it, we're back to talking about them in the CL qualifiers after yet another riveting fourth-place finish in the EPL.
