Great defense

Wallzagli
Absurd thing is that only few weeks ago people rated Boateng higher than Bonucci or Chiellini. Getting dribbled by Messi is no shame, but to fall on your back, lose your footing like this is hilarious and unworthy of any serious defender.

He didn't fall on his back, he managed to roll and fall on his stomach which is even more impressive.

I guess he didn't want to miss the goal.

He was beat regardless, its just weird how he keels over lol, like his body doesnt listen to his brain and and short circuited. Was unprepared to say the least for that change of direction.

In the good old days defenders didnt get humiliated this way. Its only modern brainless ones that cant defend making life easy for him.

Nesta  Cannavaro  Roberto Carlos  Ferdinand  Ashley Cole  Vidic  Carvalho

Nesta was old, Cannavaro was old even at Juve when Messi was a kid, Carlos was old, Ashley Cole wasn't a great defender. Vidic and Carvalho do know the first thing about defending. Good defenders never lose their footing and get humiliated like that.

Puyol must be cack too.

Ronaldinho humiliating Pirlo, Nesta and Gattuso in one move

Countless examples of your greats getting humiliated by different people.

I don't understand how someone can defend Boateng and say he couldn't do more, that's just ridiculous. Sure, Messi was chapeau bas but Boateng also made it too easy for him, what was he thinking when Leo was already INSIDE the box, you either use your long legs ffs (you risk making a foul if you are slow) or just get physically closer to him because inside the box he can't sprint, he can fake shoot and then shoot again. Boateng was disastrous to say the least.

Only managed to open penultimate video, might look at others when I get home, but can't see any resemblance between Boateng's absurd fall, completely losing his balance without possibility to make any kind of recovery (he finished on the ground ffs) and getting beaten by skillful player (no shame in that), but still not losing your dignity as is the case in the video above. Surely you can see the difference.

Beating Real Madrid AND Barcelona once more in this day and age, to win the CL :touched: with Gigi :touched: maaaaaan for Gigi :touched:
We need to bring the footballing world to its knees

We will beat Madrid AND Barca and Gigi will lift the big ears..he needs to...there is nothing more than can touch a Juventini's heart more...as black as i am i know i would cry...dont care if i may be disciplined by the International Council of Backness...

Alot of ppl are upset that we are coming close to destroying their Classico dream final or messi v christy final..thats all they know and thats all they care to know

The Boateng one is just sheer laziness and poor body positioning, not bothering to stay on his toes. He probably half gave up at that point, it's easy to stand and be mesmerised with a little test tube goblin dazzling you.

All these vids above - that's why good defenders are so cherished, they (and goalkeepers) can all be embarrassed as there are so many skillful players, everyone gets made to look stupid from time to time, but you don't see any overall level of defending just looking at few minutes of highlight videos. The likes of Messi, Ronaldinho, even far less established players like Robinho, Denilson, Quaresma and others with quick feet and skills have all destroyed defenders 1, 2 or 3 at a time at some point.

tl;dr vids mean fuck all.

@Fred is it true that the great tactician and motivator master has a record in CL semifinals with bayern? The same bayern that was by far the best team in europe before he destroyed them? Impressive.

3 games
0 Wins
3 Losses
0 goals scored
8 goals conceded

He's in Munich anointing and kissing Guardiola's asshole to make it heal faster.
Good, it will be fresh for the next game.
