This team should allways have pushes for at least QF CL last year. It got even better and now has Allegri who got results in europe before and can really set a defence and counter a teams tactics.

We can go very far, cause apart from madrid, there isnt a single team thats op top.
And madris is poorly balanced, they could be in for a surprise against a team that wins the duels all over the field and.neutralises the buildup.

I agree with you there. Last season was a bit off for us. The quality of the current team should make it possible for us to advance the groups at least. With favorable draw we might go little further than that. If few things fall into place, who knows what our limits might be. Real and Bayern are the teams that I hope we avoid in earlier stages.

We do have a decent squad, but it really depends on the teams we'll face in the Group stages. Don't mistake this team's capabilities in the league with Europe.

It's a disaster if we don't get out of the groups. Look at these teams that made it from last year:

Milan
Zenit
Galatasaray
Olympiakos
Schalke
Leverkusen

Leverkusen and Schalke got absolutely drubbed in the first leg of the knockouts FFS. Zenit as well. Milan was a joke team last year.

Don't see how you can state expectations in the CL.

I expect Juve to get to the knock-out stages.

After that, it depends on the draw.

You could draw Real Madrid in the last 16 or you could get lucky and barely have to face a serious opponent to get to the final.

expectations are set every year by every club, thats why i said there should be a difference between expectations and personal opinion on performance. But you are spot on as far as the importance of the draw.

It depends on the draw in the group stages as well. Getting Real Madrid, Liverpool and Monaco will make it extremely difficult to get to the knock-out stages, and if we do, a second place is all we could hope for. And a second place would mean a tougher draw in the round of 16. On the other hand, if we could draw Benfica, Olympiacos and a shit team, we'd have a shot for the first place in the group. It's all about probability. Considering all the different draw possibilities, how far do you think we would get most of the time? ;)

Of course not. After all, they have the best coach and are the current Champions. What is there to be afraid of?
Yet Madrid was stronger back in 2012. All the good teams from 2/3 seasons ago, are significantly less today. And no new team rose to their hights.
Current madrid is awfully balanced. Get a strong team to tactically limit their build up, and force into duels everywhere, and they'll have severe difficulties

Heynckens Bayern for example, would tear it apart with ease. Mourinho's inter would smash it like the bitch it is.

Juventus has the organisation, tactical dicipline and duelpower to overcome madrid.
