Shame for the red card. I wanted to see how the game develops with Modric in and UTD with 11 players. Manchester controlled the match until the red card, but I'm not sure that they would have won even without the red. Probably 1:1 and extra time.

wasn't a red, Nani had his eyes on the ball the whole time, terrible decision.
If you can check the replay again, you can see how Nani looks backwards just before he kicks arbeloa He saw him. He didnt even try to put his leg back. He left his leg extended to hurt him. His attempt to fake injury only shows how he realised what he had done and tried to hide it.

We'll see what happens in the next round but it seems destined for Madrid to win this CL and for Ronaldo to finally overcome Messi in something.

But they do not look unbeatable, that is a certainty.

i've seen the replay in slow motion on tv and for once i agree with the pundits, nani could never have pulled his leg out of that because he didn't even see the onrushing player till it was too late.

Why would he try to hurt Arbeloa? He's the worst player on the pitch and the #1 reason why Madrid struggles offensively at times.

Nani is going for the ball plain and simple. Doesn't see the player. It's not even a kicking motion. He's trying to cradle the ball. There's nothing behind his leg, no power. It's just out there.

I love this guy. :D
english media considering a strike because they cant write about the war between fergusson and mourinho cause he said that

i know i read it, i think hes the ultimate troll though. But it really does seem like mou and ronaldo are setting the stage to both go to manure
My toughts exactly

Roy Keane 'It was a Red card.'

Case closed.
And Keane knows, considering the horror he pulled off on the field

Rio Ferdinand is a terrible loser.
He should rather think about how they got shafted twice in the space of 3 minutes

:agree:

he turned forward at the very last moment when it was too late for him to withdraw his foot. No malicious intent, however it was a reckless act by Nani and should have gotten a YC ... definitely not a RC, though.

Ref was unlucky too.
