This has been the worst every performance by English clubs in a year when they've had four teams in the competition.

Fewest points, fewest wins, most losses, most goals conceded, fewest clean sheets.

:)
As I've been saying for the past few years, the EPL is in decline and the results (and style of play) really reflect this.

Would not surprise me to see the Bundesliga overtake them in the co-efficient rankings soon - not that it makes a difference though. But yeah, the quality of football in that league is nowhere as good as it was 4-5 years ago.

Things can always change though, given that their top clubs have seemingly never ending sums of money to spend on players, but as it stands the current "top four" are not a patch on EPL top teams of the past.

Squad wise at least I'd say so, perhaps not 10 years but at least of the last 8 years or so.

Arsenal is crap, city are a mass of world class players that don't understand what team play means and have a dumbass coach.

Manchester United.. Well they're "good" but this has to be one of the most unbalanced sides I've seen from them.

Liverpool: lol..

Chelsea: fucked up big time in the transfer market, I'd say we're a little more balanced than united but just a bit, defense sucks and toothless in attack.

Compared to the squads these teams (bar city) had between say 2003-2010, they're all clearly worse IMO.
that's about right

Guys, I think the best way to get world class players is buying those from ManCity. I think they gonna have a new coach next season means having new players coming and old ones out. We should aim for this moment to buy 2,3 world class players with cheap

that guy is quite the unbelievable idiot, since its acmilan themselves, who showed that a deep defensive line, with double marking and worldclass space controll, is exactly how you keep messi out of his game.

in the late 90ties and early 2000, people across the world were celebrating english teams had manager-coaches.
later came the big ass finances that gave them unpreceded wealth

Yet, they all failed to transit their great mid 2000's teams into todays football, and are falling behind. because they spend insane amounts of cash on players from other teams, instead of 4 very strong teams, the epl now has 8 potential CL teams, but bar man utd, not one is actually strong

man utd : aging central defence, weak central midfield. good offensive wingers, and excellent forwards. they will suffer vs dortmund and juve
arsenal: sold their "total football" players, and didnt even replace them.
liverpool : sold and didnt replace
chelsea : didnt replace central midfield

What I'm positive about is that when we face a team once, we learn our lessons from that game and when we play them a second time, we usually do much better with our tactics. So I'm confident about our chances in two legged ties.
