What the fuck are you talking about?
I already asked him about that. :D He hasn't answered. :p
Sorry sorry, i am not camping the forum 24/7, and if i dont revisit the topic i cant see it. if you wanted a certain answer, make a mention broz.

I mean that madrid is lucky that they were in the group with dortmund, because if they would have drawn them in the knockout round, madrid would be eliminated.

Dortmunds pretty good at holding deep against a team that is creative, yet excellent at pouncing at every mistake they make.
They will just play deep and keep the playing field small, and win the physical duels.

Comparing the chances madrid will get, dortmund is going to get alot more chances on pacy counterstrikes.

I really dont understand, why after all this time, madrid still didnt buy a class CDM. they should have gotten De Rossi 2 years ago.

Well, if Madrid hadn't been in group with Dortmund, they would have won their group. :D And that would mean that they wouldn't have been able to draw Dortmund no matter what. :p

What I didn't understand was the Schalke thing. :p

Depending on who we get in the 2'nd round and the Quarters, I can see us actually going a long long way. A favorable draw which leads to a run to the semis, and then anything is possible :boh:
That can be said for most of the teams in the competition.

It's also why I don't like people saying at the start of the season they would be happy with getting to the QF or whatever.

Juve could get Real Madrid in the next round, lose, and I'd say their CL campaign had been a success.

Alternatively, they could get to the semis and, in theory, draw Galatasaray, lose, and I'd say the CL campaign was a failure.

simply because objectives are set against financial models and not footballistic ones

Arsenal fans really are a funny bunch

"Wenger has got to go"

"Wenger knows best"

"We had the invincibles"

"It's not all about winning"

They really are the most fickle people about

I agree !

But you seriously, so few people actually think that way.

Considering the team still isnt finished, because lack of profilic forward, and few european experience, i'd say passing groupstages is allready a succes. especially considering how good shaktar has become (NO ONE wants to go against them), and its still chelsea.

every round now is bonus. If we draw a team we can beat, we should have ambition. If we draw a team that is better, we have to be humble and try for the best, but not complain if it didnt work.

"we must reach quarter finals" then draw barcelona in 1th knockout, and lose "omg we didnt reach quarterfinals we failed". No i dont really agree with that.

altho, from financial point of view, i understand certain stages have to be set

I'd definitely call our CL campaign a failure if we fail to win against any of the teams we are drawn against (barring Madrid of course).

After that, if we manage go beyond the 2'nd round, it's the quarters. Once we reach that stage, I'd call our campaign a success if we happen to lose to Madrid, Barca, or Bayern. That's to say I wouldn't be shocked if we lost to those teams. I'd be disappointed with losses to United, Dortmund, or PSG. If we lose to anyone else, that would comprise a failure in my book.

after 3 games you said "hello europaleague"

and now that we massively improved your expectation and topped the group, it would still be a failure if we dont survive first knockout round ?
