Congrats to Chelsea, and suck shit to those absolute cunt of the football world known as Bayern Munich. Still shows you how poor the level of football is these days when a mediocre Chelsea are crowned CL Champions. Parallels to Liverpool's success in 2005 as well.

Worst team in history to win the Champions League to be fair. Chelsea despite having a so called defensive game plan, were a joke defensively in every single game.

I cannot believe Napoli, Bayern and Barcelona missed so many chances.

not sure why people keep underestimating Chelsea and undervaluing their achievement - they have a quality roaster and changed coaches just recently, so they needed time to adjust. Played Barca and a strong Bayern team defensively, many would say as second best, but it's not like any other team would have a prayer in an open game vs Barca, while Bayern were playing at home tonight - did Real M play them any differently in the SF or what? And if they did, how did that work out for them?

All in all, Chelski have the quality players, picked the smart tactic to neutralize Barca and Bayern (on their home turf) and did what they needed to do to win.

You guys will see how "pathetic" the level of CL football next year - if you think you are gonna have a walk in the park, based on watching a game or two on TV, many of you are in for quite a surprise

Neutralizing a team is not letting them have over 15 shots on target.

no - neutralizing a team is not letting them have clear goal chances and above all, score. Last-prayer shots and corners they may have as many as they want.
Yet Barcelona and Bayern had numerous goal scoring chances that even my dogs could score. Hit the post, bar. Sanchez & Gomez miss from a yard out etc.

I can think of Gomez on at least one occasion (a couple of others in the first half weren't very clear) and Olic having clear chances.

Chelsea have been blessed with poor finishing in the competition. The Barcelona game at Stamford Bridge in particular. They've had two big penalties missed by top players (Messi and Robben).

Chelsea - Barcelona
1 - Goals - 1
1 - Attempts on target - 6
3 - Attempts off target - 13
1 - Corners - 8

Barcelona - Chelsea
2 - Goals - 2
5 - Attempts on target - 3
12 - Attempts off target - 4
10 - Corners - 1

Bayern - Chelsea
1 - Goals - 1
7 - Attempts on target - 3
17 - Attempts off target - 3
20 - Corners - 1

They won because a) they scored at crucial moments in games, b) their opponents missed golden chances; penalties included, and c) some good defensive play in the latter games, most notably from Ashley Cole. Chelsea didn't neutralise anything.

A chance here and there means nothing - what counts in the end is that Chelski did enough and was clutch enough to make it to the final and win it. What good is a chance if a team wastes it? And what does that say about that team - are they good enough?

You guys have been riding the "luck" train like a cheap ho - no team is lucky enough to win the CL purely or mainly on luck without having their own merit for it, including Chelsea this year.
You keep mentioning barca and Bayern not scoring/beating Chelsea and call it luck, I call it a pattern ;)

We'll do better than Milan, who quite frankly showed Italy up. That fucking Arsenal game
I am sure you will ;) ... man, that hit from reality is gonna hurt like a b***h :p

To call them solid defensively is a joke though. Especially when teams carved them open too many times.
