you actually have a very good squad, the players were just missing proper guidance under the right manager.

If Cahill and Luiz make it for the final, I think Chelsea have a very good shot at winning it, even if Ramires and Ivanovic will be missed (Terry and Meireles not so much imo) ... Essien would come in handy in that game as he would probably gain in shape by then too.

I agree. I say we have overachieved because with the players we have and their age, this was supposed to be a transition season. Drogba, Lampard and Co were never going to have the endurance to play 30+ games this season. Which is why we've been so awful in the league (and the blunder in hiring AVB) and still we're in a position to win a double (CL, FA) which is a great feat given the circumstances.

Still I know in a one off game, where our players are going in rested (season will be over and if we don't get a result against Newcastle we won't bother with the PL anymore) anything can happen, Drogs and Lampard could very well win the game with pure conviction and pride, like yesterday.

I think it's pretty obvious by now that Di Matteo should stay, the guy has been absolutely wonderful.

I hope we win the CL and arsenal or Spurs finish 4th :lol2:

Btw, for those of you who like facts, Barcelona has never won a semifinal in which they lost the first match.

Every single CL final held in munich has crowned a new CL champion. ;)

@Gabriel I like you man, I really do, but fuck your team

How old are you btw, and why did you choose Chelsea, of all teams, to support?
22.

My dad was a Man Utd follower when I was a kiddo so there was a lot of English football on tv in my house, but I never liked that team or any other for that matter. I started following Chelsea when I first saw Zola play, sadly coverage wasn't as good as today so I didn't get to watch all the games, just when we played Man Utd or pool plus the odd game.

That team had a lot of charisma.

I also totally don't like fucking John Terry and I'm actually glad he won't captain us in the final.

Btw, my dad is now a Barca fan :sergio:

Don't want to sound rude, but your dad seems like a glory hunter :D Btw, it's nice seeing Chelsea fan acknowledge that Terry is a moron and not a super captain. One of my best friends is Chelsea fan, and I just can't talk about Terry with him.

He is, and my bro is a real Madrid fan :S.

I think Lampard makes a better captain x10

@Gabriel You are a sensible Chelsea fan. I used to like Chelsea back in the days of Vialli, Zola, and Gullit. They were a solid team. They still had their fair share of cunts and nutcases (Dennis Wise :yuck: :inter: and to a lesser extent Le Saux), but Desailly and Petrescu were awesome ;)

My dad was upset that Barca lost last night :sergio: :wallbang: I guess it might turn out to be a nightmarish year for him (in football terms) given that Milan might not win Serie A, and Man. Utd. could yet lose the Premiership title

John Terry is a bigger cunt imo than Wise, an amazing feat I dare to say.

I used to be able to tolerate him over the years, but all the crap he's got involved with over the last 2-3 years has made me absolutely despise him, even if he can be a brilliant defender at times.

There's a difference between being a cunt on the pitch (Van Bommel, Drogba) and being an awful person.

Jolly amusing seeing Barca fuck it up.

Still don't understand why commentators think it is a good thing that 'they only know one way to play'.

Guardiola has done a tremendous job of wrecking what he had in 2009. He had great players and a great system and it was very difficult to see how they could be stopped.

Now they just have the players because they play without any real system and their play is focused through the middle so much that it is much easier to stop them playing.

Because they no longer make the pitch big the way they used to, it is also far harder for them to engineer situations where Messi has the space to start dribbling. He is reduced to a play-maker type role and he is not especially good at it.

Should have left Messi on the wing, and kept Ibra up top, instead he (pep) has no balls and pushed messi in the middle only cause he asked ....:disagree:
