Oh, some beautiful performances for sure, but I mean the style of play. I wouldn't call it ugly, but watching Matri, Pepe, Borriello, Estigarribia on the ball isn't really pleasing to the eye. Not that I really care. Just win, damnit! :boxing:
Apart from Genoa (we should have 6 fucking points against them this season), Juventus was lethal against the rest. Watching Pirlo is enough for me, I love him.

I was of course being sarcastic. Not a fan of possession football either.
Haha I'd completely missed that previous post "possession football, Barca style, pure football, not Italian, etc etc :touched::touched:" :D

I like that Juve subscribes to an identity of winning. I thought this was interesting.

And so it was little surprise that when Silvio Berlusconi addressed Milan's players before their game against Juventus there was only one team he really wanted to talk about. Not three weeks have passed since Milan drew 2-2 in Barcelona, and yet while most would be grateful for any result at the Camp Nou, the Milan owner had been stung by the few critics who felt his team showed insufficient ambition. "We need to play more like Barcelona," he told the players at Milanello on Saturday. "And we must keep the ball more in the last 15 minutes."

Juventus's players had been visited by their own president, Andrea Agnelli, on Saturday, but where Berlusconi had invited his team to play like another, the Bianconeri were simply advised to listen to their manager.

Didier Deschamps to Gianluca Vialli after his Marseille knocked Inter out with a very late winner- "You know where we come from, and what we were taught- to believe in it all the way to the end."

Bring back DD  (when Conte's won it all)
As much as I like Conte, I like DD more.

It's closer to a total football. Deschamps is way too much 1990's Italian football.
DD plays 4-2-3-1 all the time, it's not exactly possession football but it's definitely entertaining/attacking. You said it yourself before, he doesn't have the right players to be that good at Marseillle. DM's who turn coaches always turn out great.

And results do matter more in the end :D

Fuck Inter. I'm glad those scumbags are out of the competition. Who gives a fuck about the coefficient? When we are back in the CL next year and competing, we can improve the coefficient ourselves, and most importantly go back to winning ways, leading us back to where we belong :agree:

substantial improvements to the league's coefficient would have to be the result of several teams performing very well in Europe, so the we-against-the-world thing is unlikely to do any wonders in that regard :p

plus Juve would have a pretty low UEFA team coefficient resulting in a low seeding - my guess would be 3rd pot - and that would likely put you guys in a tough group, kind of like Napoli this year.

I know. However, if we keep winning, once we qualify that is, and Milan and Inter keep making it to the Quarters or even Semis regularly (and being humiliated), and the likes of Palermo, Lazio, Udinese, and Roma take the Europa League more seriously, things will eventually/gradually change for the better. Mind you, the main reason the Germans overtook the Italians in the coefficient list is because they take/took the Europa League seriously.

I think we might actually end up being in pot 4 :scared:

Bayern-Bazel was so ridiculous =) poor Bazel's coach=) Before the game he claimed that he had no convictions about the final result of the clash, but one thing he knew exactly was that Bazel surely won't concede a seven goals as Hoffenheim did =) Ahaha such a great and precise prediction from his side =)

agree, but the point was that it would indeed take a group effort after all, including the EL teams doing their part too.

as for the coefficients, I think this link has them about right:
http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2012.html

depending on which teams qualify, Juve could indeed end up in pot 4, although 3 looks more likely to me. Even Milan is out of the top 10 and if they make it in pot 1, it would be because other teams above them missed out on the CL places for next year.

About 8 seasons since Inter last went without winning a trophy.
didn't they win the TIM cup (?) or whatever that summer tournament was called, this year? ;)
