He was injured, he and Theo couldn't finish the game.
Bad luck losing those 2 as they werre causing a lot of problems for Milan. I think Arsenal should easily make the CL though this season cuz Chelsea are looking alot worse and they got a good lead on Pool. Hopefully the injury to Walcott is not too much.. I have him on my Barclays fantasy soccer team haha.

I'd still choose Marseille in your place. I've seen them enough times this season to know that even a crippled Milan would destroy them. They don't have experience, discipline nor quality to beat you. Inter will be outsiders too, but those guys can at least play a game like the one earlier this season and put you in trouble. Marseille can't do that.

Marseille is very strong, but yeah, they look rather 'lost' when they play in CL.

I remember when Manchester trolled them. But I would not write them off that easy, especially if they have Ayew, Remy and others fit.

I probably watched them good 5-6 times this season in France and Europe and it was painful to watch.

Now I see they are 8th in the French league. That explains a lot.
They do have a couple of exciting players but they don't have what to look for if they face Milan.

Neither does Basel, yet they took points from Manchester United. And on the other hand, it's not like this Inter is worlds beater.

They are weaker this season and only because of CL games. It's like when Viola crashed when they qualified. Man, Ayew and Remy decide matches! :D

fully agree, however, I made those choices with Serie A in mind, not just what would suit Milan best ... as for Milan, if they can't beat this Inter over two legs, then they simply don't deserve to be in the CL. The same goes for any other team except Real and Barca considering these two are in a league of their own. Bayern would be a tricky opponent given they have great potential and can explode at any moment but at the same time have been very inconsistent, and just plain poor, lately.
    Time will tell.

Real will destroy Milan if they get them.

    Congrats, acmilan.

That wasted chance of van Persie was :frown:
apart from mes que un cunt, madrid easely destroys any other team in the world

funny thing is that the cunts only play top against real.

so if mes que un cunt get eliminated, madrid pretty much has the cup

    I agree.
The problem is though that "this Inter" might not be "this Inter" and they could be a completely different Inter.

By the time the quarters come they will almost surely lose all chances for CL next year. They can fully concentrate on the CL and for some of their stars that quarterfinal could be the best chance to advertise themselves and find a buyer for their asses. Such motivated Sneijder, Milito, Maicon can be harmful to every team bar the Spanish duo if they're so motivated. On top of it, we can't exclude a new coach until then and the new coach factor. In short, Marseille should be the more desired team than Inter for Milan or any other team in CL.

agree with the above. when I said "this" Inter I meant more of the post-Mourinho Inter, not necessarily the one of the past month or so as the latest Inter will not make it past Marseille to begin with.
Anyways, I would prefer all Italian teams, both in the CL and EL, to make it thru at least one more round ... it's too early to "pick" opponents for Milan just yet, imo, as there would plenty of very good teams waiting for us in the next round, with or without Inter in it too.

As if Lecce were going to do anything against Milan even with a full squad :D

After that 3:0-3:4 fiasco in Lecce earlier this season, the Lecce guys will shit their pants the moment they step on San Siro.

    There is.
Just like all the others he was arrogant and thought this was a won duel and just a distraction. Neither Zlatan nor the coach and the other Milan players were mentally prepared for tonight. Unfortunately it didn't cost them a humiliation.
I get it Alen, they clearly understimated the 2nd leg but this is the typical alegri's milan when you play high tempo against and typical ibra when he gets aggresively closed down and not much space to 'walk through' , still a headache for defenders but not as much influential in outcome of the game.

I think Ibra was motivated enough to try to put on a show but he simply wasn't allowed. could see the frustration on his face.
