haha, we'll set a high bet next time. I'll start stacking. It's just that I went all in on Patriots and they fucked me over. I don't think I've ever had like over 10k.

I lived in Nicosia for 3 years between 1993 and 1996. I used to study @ The English School in Nicosia; still got loads of friends there. I used to go to Ayia Napa quite often though, before it became all commercial and full of drunk British and Scandinavian tourists.
:D There are just as many Germans now, and Russians are buying everything up. I've got an apartment in the Paralimni area with a friend of mine so go over occasionally, more of an investment than anything else. Initially I went over on a lads holiday and then to a far nicer hotel with some family and liked the place a lot, so went with it. The people are nice, football mad (especially EPL and Serie A), and of course the weather is as perfect as you will get anywhere in Europe. Them speaking English is a bonus, considering I don't know more than basic Greek and cannot be bothered to really learn more.

It's a great place. I love the country. No traffic, awesome weather, great food (especially when families invite you over for evening BBQ's during the summer, in addition to the awesome food served at the tavernas). Add to that the fact that you can go to the beach as well as the mountain in the same day, and you got a killer combination. I'm planning on going there again next year, possibly even Christmas 2012. Let's meet up for a couple of Keos and some Zivahnia!

Fucking Scandinavians :D

The things they do on vacations is friggin embarrasing. I bet the Greeks are sick and tired of their ass.

Sounds like a plan. Anyway, Apollon Limassol are my team in Cyprus, after I got invited to stand with them on their 'Gate', but everyone will be supporting APOEL in this one. Ok, most people :D

Melo - you can't to a bar Ayia Napa without seeing a Norway or Sweden flag, but the British are no better in terms of behaviour. It's one big piss up after all.

I find them amusing. However, I'm not a local so it doesn't/didn't bother me. The English just get really macho and start picking fights; as a consequence, they end up having their asses handed to them, and in some cases being hospitalized. At least that's how I remember things. There are also a lot of Lebanese, Russians, Armenians, and even Vietnamese and Chinese now :D

I like Apollon, and for some reason AEL and Ethnikos Achna  I can guarantee you that the Omonia and Anorthosis fans are rooting for Lyon tonight. A friend of mine is a die-hard/hardcore Nea Salamina fan; I think there must be only 3000 of those, if even that!
