Nope (most) top flight English clubs have terrible atmosphere at their grounds. They are regularly outsung by European fans. Just last month about 40-50 Otelul Galati fans outsung the entire Stretford End. No word of a lie.

Anyway, United keep giving few credit to their CL group. I'd love to see Shaqiri going through the groups just for that shit.

There are one or two exceptions (Spurs, Stoke), but away fans normally make more noise.

It's just down to the away fans having been travelling for a few hours and drinking the whole time, so they are more up for it.

Aberdeen frequently go down to Glasgow with 1,000 fans and make more noise than 50-60,000 home fans at Ibrox or Parkhead.
Not Liverpool?

But of course SKY control the level of fan noise on their coverage.

Old Trafford was made to sound significantly louder than San Paolo tonight, for instance.

Ha and I used to wonder why the fuck are italians mute until a few years ago, watching the same game on a stream seemed considerable louder.

I checked the City forums to see their reactions and it's really strange how little they seem to care about the defeat. All they worry about is if this defeat will reflect on their EPL form. All they care about is doing good against Liverpool this weekend. They don't give a big fuck about CL.

Well, I can't blame them. They never played CL so they don't know how big this competition is.

If they won they'd be shouting from the roof tops, it's a massive blow if they go out, most of them before the game were confident they were going to win the whole thing

The cameras too and the image's quality is different in the two countries as well.

Although they already seem to be fixing it in Juventus Stadium, last year I always wondered why was the quality of streaming and ambient around (that, in part, is created by the media) so sucky in Italy. Never even thought SKY is the host of both leagues and just thought that the problem was only due to Italy's weak league structure and lack of appeal nowadays.

Exactly, the english press is no different they are quick to sidestep a defeat and move on, but a win is like they won the competition.

If I were a City fan, I think I'd just be viewing the CL as a bit of fun and a good experience this year.

I'd have my heart set on winning the league.

As much as it was a tough group, the amount invested and the current form of City going out of the Champions League so soon if they do makes them look quite embarrassing really.
