You foreigners probably wouldn't/didn't notice, but tonight Benfica fans were chanting in almost the whole game and fully controlled the atmosphere going on at Old Trafford. Such a classy performance by their part to hear. They were only 3000 I think, and the stadium didn't really look much empty.

Btw, Lavezzi is a hell of a player. Too bad for him and Napoli and too good for us that his finishing is his weakest point. He's a very bad finisher. If he was only decent there, he'd have been one of the best in the world today.

Yeah, they were loud. And United's support is shit.

Meh.

Always happens in the UK that away fans outsing home fans.

He's become a really good player.

Credit to him and the coaching at Napoli for getting him to that point, because at first he really wasn't that different to the thoroughly unreliable Zarate.

Can't believe the English pundits didn't even consider that Napoli's first goal could be Joe Hart's fault.

Napoli did well to hang on in the end. They'd probably have done it more comfortably if Inler hadn't had to go off.

Who were they blaming? Kolarov?

I can't believe the English pundits cant consider, that maybe going to play Napoli in Naples is a very tough ask for most teams and Man City arent that great just yet.

Didn't know about that. :D

Actually, I always had the opposite idea, because their ambient in the stands seems to be pretty awesome in the premierleague games.
Nope (most) top flight English clubs have terrible atmosphere at their grounds. They are regularly outsung by European fans. Just last month about 40-50 Otelul Galati fans outsung the entire Stretford End. No word of a lie.

duh, that's 40-50 Otelul ultras vs a win of stay-at-home moms and dead-beat dads :D

There are one or two exceptions (Spurs, Stoke), but away fans normally make more noise.

It's just down to the away fans having been travelling for a few hours and drinking the whole time, so they are more up for it.

Aberdeen frequently go down to Glasgow with 1,000 fans and make more noise than 50-60,000 home fans at Ibrox or Parkhead.

Mancini - for not putting players on the posts.

They don't seem surprised Man City didn't win and they acknowledge Napoli are a good side.

Man City arent that great just yet.
That can't be true, they're top of the bestest league ever.
