Well, I believe that Without Messi, Barcelona would've never won the two CL titles in 2009 and 2011. Same goes to Argentina without Maradona. This is a team sport, one has to have good teammates to win a trophy. There's nothing called single handedly in football, I doubt Diego can win a world cup with Spain in 1986 as I doubt Messi can win a CL with Arsenal in 2011.

Even though Messi was an important figure in barca's wins, he wasn't fundamental. If you don't believe Maradona took Argentina to the title in 86 and Zidane took France in 98, then I advice you to go watch the games ones again. You'll learn a thing or two from how legends take their teams.
