To me it looked as though Sanchez tried to earn the penalty. He had been falling already even before Abbiati made the jump for the ball.
Not a single penalty denied!
1. Sanches almost shoots the ball out of play, Abbiati is down before Sanchez is there and Sanchez had every opportunity to avoid collision with the goalie. Instead he dragged his foot and flew through the air doing his best Inzaghi imitation.
2. Shirt pulling happens at every corner, at every foul. Mesbah let go of Puyol well before actually giving him a chance to fall on it. It would've almost been an Milan-esque penalty to give

Those three situations, now compare to virtually all of the 50/50's going in Farca's favor. How Mascherano wasn't given a yellow I will never understand. IF Keita had been judged fairly and still made those fouls, he'd be looking at a red by min. 60.

2 shirt pulling like mesbah did deserves the penalty , because he clearly lost his man and it pulls his shirt from behind , and on top of that it actually continues for a relatively long period time and makes pyol go on the ball later , a ball with which he had arrived earlier could have scored
