Such a shame that teams don't show up against barca, United played some good football the first 10 minutes and that's about it. Such a shame that a goalkeeper blunder makes such a difference, not that the outcome would have changed but maybe the match would have stayed even longer. United were piss poor, barca were the much better team. End of.

barca will win the CL next season too.

What an idiotic thing to say. Stick with football, Mr. Wordsmith.

Actually, I couldn't stand him after he went to Chelsea, but there's no denying he is the best manager in the world. He'll continue to show it, no question.

I've heard this argument before. Even if you believe it, Messi is still the better player.

I hear it mostly from Manure and Prem fans, sadly to say.

That's not fair to Lahm at all. He's certainly better defensively than Alves.
So why isn't Pep a better coach?

And much weaker offensively.
Much weaker? Uhh, not really. I mean obviously Alves is the better dribbler, but Lahm can hit some very good crosses and passes. At times he's the one leading the attack for Bayern, playmaking from the back.

I would definitely take Lahm over Alves if I wanted to build a good defense.

No you haven't, other than you think he is great.

Reason...
He's been successful everywhere he's went, his teams are always incredibly organized, he's on top of the tactics 99% of the time, 2 Champions League with two different teams, both of them underdogs in the competition, took Inter from being a choker in Europe to winning the whole thing, offering up the best effort in stopping Barcelona, et cetera.

Well, I guess congrats are in order for Barca, hate them or love them they deserved the trophy this year and what better way to prove it than ripping a new one to one of the top teams in Europe this year.

No reason to argue which individual player is better and more complete 'cause Barca played and won as a team tonight. They are not unstoppable though - Capello in '94, Hiddink in '09 and Moronho in '10 showed how this brand of football can be suffocated and dealt with ... ManU's problem, this year and in '09, was that they just aren't built that way and are an easy prey for a team practicing a football like Barca's.

btw, just for the record, I wanted ManU to win - just going with the lesser of two evils really :D

He could have also won the CL with Chelsea were it not for misfortunes.
