A lot of high scores, but many still relatively close. Yes, some landslides, but more than I posted from this seasons competition: Doesn't look that way to me.
The point was its easier to get goals in the old days.

Milan played 3 games in 1955 and scored 19 goal..

Now that type continued way into the late 80s, its only in recent times mid-90s and onwards that its become much more difficult to score such a large number of goals in games.

That 19 goals is more than most teams score in the entire CL nowadays, plaing 3x more games.

Thats simply because there are more games now.

If there was 15 games back in 1955, would Milan or Real get like 100 goals in a single year?

But Sheva and Stéfano achieved what Rood Van Nistelruuj and the others did in far fewer years.
Yeah, obviously some players do better, thats a given.

Same as Di Stefano did better than other players during his time, not like I'm not saying they aren't great players or anything.

Have in mind that it was harder to get a chance to play in Champions Cup back then.
If you play for United, Madrid, Barca, Chelsea etc, you're guaranteed to play in CL every single year. But back then it wasn't the case since only one team from the league was playing in the best competition.
