I thought Real was brilliantly set up in the first half. They basically had a line of three or sometimes four sitting high in midfield, so Barca could only play the ball around the back for the first 45. Jose had them pressuring high and when they did get the ball, they tried to break quickly, but didn't make much headway apart from a free free kicks. In the second half Barca found more ways to break them down and without Pepe it was always going to be a losing battle for them.
The match was predictably a bore, though. And if you're angry about that blame Mourinho.
The amount of simulation and outright cheap play in these matches is far worse than anything I've seen in the Milan or Roman derby. The Busquets and Pedro stuff from the first half was simply unbelievable to watch, and it looks like Mourinho fooled around with the pitch prior to kickoff again. These clubs are dirtier than a New Orleans prostitute held up in their Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. It's quite stunning, really.
That said, no club is worse than Man United. None.
