And that brings me back to my point. Serie A clubs can't sign sure-bet world class players anymore because they face competition from England and Spain (and now probably Germany as well). This makes Serie A a weaker league. Inter got Sneijder because Real wanted to get rid of him and no offers came from England. Believe me, if Chelsea or Man Utd had made offers for Sneijder they would have gotten him, not Inter. They probably didn't because they thought he wasn't a sure bet.
