If we are assuming that all Liverpool's players are fit, and if we were to assume that Liverpool will continue to deploy a 4-2-3-1 system. I'd say that Cavani and Lavezzi would not stand a chance with Torres. Still i would try and fit one of them on the wing. Cavani showed his ability to play as a winger in the world cup, so i might prefer playing him on the wing over Jovanovic or Babel.

I'd say Hamsik and Gargano would definitely start ahead of Meireles and Lucas.

Glen Johnson is always injured, if we assume he's fit, i'd take him ahead of Maggio and Zuniga. If not, both players would easily start for Pool.

All in all, assuming everyone is fit, and assuming Pool don't change their tactical setup, Cavani, Hamsik and Gargano would start for Pool.
We actually might be good if we had those players.

Best left winger in world football.. Gareth Bale.
:howler:

It figures it would come to this. But I did not think you'd succumb to the English marketeers, Stu. I'm disappointed in you.

Who would you buy Rooney or Bale?

I would take Bale, any day of the week.
I absolutely hate Rooney and believe he is probably the most overhyped player in the world, but even I wouldn't agree to that. Bale has a few stellar performances and suddenly he's world class, even despite going AWOL in other matches.

Once again, folks are getting ahead of themselves here.

He wasn't dribbling, he was simply running and the defender behind him always let him make the run, trying to win the ball instead of foul him.

I know Zanetti, Cordoba and Samuel very well to know that they'd have fouled him right away if the result was 1:0.
Indeed, Alen is absolutely correct here. But it should be worrying for Inter fans that they became so nonchalant after halftime. Under the same circumstances, I can't see this happening under Jose.

I actually think that if the German players were English, playing for English teams, while the English players were Germans playing for Bayern, Dortmund and the likes, the majority of football followers would have thought that the "English" are individually better than the "German".
That's the hype I'm talking about.

No doubt about it. And anybody who watches Bundesliga knew that Ozil was a classy, technically gifted player.

Yeah, one player. Hands up for you, you made a really good point. LOL. Telling me about one Italian player! DONT YOU KNOW I MELO?????
They play in Serie A. Serie A the Italian league. Inter is Italian.

The nationality of their players does not matter. There is a reason that we have international football and club football.

In international football you represent your country. In club football, you represent a club, a district, and the city that you live in along with all the supporters of the club. Whether you are fit to do so or not depends on your qualities - nothing else.

The people that you represent, in an Italian stadium, are mostly Italian. Whether this has any significance or not, I'll let you decide.

So true.

People here think Iaquinta >> Benzema is something to laugh about, they should go have a look at some of the gems being said there. :sergio:

I will never forget a discussion i had in an Arsenal forum that went on and on for pages, the discussion was about who was the more promising and talented player, Theo Walcott or Pato :sergio:
The bigges jewel I ever heard was on that XFF forum, where one guy, when we signed Vieira, claimed Maresca was better than him. We had a long, serious discussion about it. :lol2:
