3rd, I'm banking on only Inter and maybe a surprise (Palermo) finishing above us, Milan to flop and Roma's previous season to be a fluke, Adriano floats back to Rio on his belly in January whilst Ranieri turns into a gibbering wreck, speaking to an imaginary monkey on his shoulder.

To be honest we have only signed mediocrity and with Camo Trez and DP being one year older and still some of our best players, I'd say we are even weaker on paper than last season.

Its kinda serious anyway since Serie A only has 3 spots. Inter, Milan and Roma have better starters than us.

Too bad this Mercato turned out this way. I don't want to see us play in the Europa League twice in a row, wouldn't be good for Juventus as a brand.

This season Serie A has 4 spots.

How exactly does Milan have better starters. You could possibly make a case for them being somewhat on par with Juve, but by no means do they have better starters. Most of their players are big names that have surpassed their expiry date.

Don't forget that right now

Marchisio >>> Pirlo Sissoko >>> Gatusso and Melo >> Ambrosini

Oh, didn't know Serie A had 4 spots this season. Alright then.

But all those players you're mentioning never win us games. Milan have more quality players. We don't have players like Ronaldinho and Pato in our squad. And our wingers are not all that tbh.

Milan were 15 points ahead of us last season and we haven't done good enough this summer to close that gap for next season.

who cares about the brand?
We should, a better brand makes things easier.

That does not mean they have a better squad, Sampdoria and Palermo finished ahead of Juve too, do you think they have better squads?

A mixture of bad tactics, the wrong players, poor decisions in the transfer market, injuries etc was the reason you guys finished 7th last season, not because you had an inferior squad.

Do you know that some people here on Juventuz were comparing Juve's squad to Inter's before the start of last season? Several even came to the conclusion that Juve had a better starting lineup, seriously.

Despite Juventus obvious holes in their starting lineup they still have the quality to overcome the likes of roma, genoa, sampdoria, palermo etc.

The reason those teams look "good" for the new season (barring roma) is that juventus (milan too, to an extent) was so damn piss poor (for reasons fred stated) that it deceived people into thinking that those other teams are quality.

Case in point: Werder Bremen - Sampdoria

Serie A has 4 spots until 2012/13 season. Which by that point Germany will have well overtaken Italy in the UEFA co eff points.

I can't see Roma continuing last season's form this year. Milan you never know what your going to get with them these days, a bit like us.
