FAKE FAN,FAKE FA......
oh wait that's me:oops:
you both are fake fans !

and now shut up or both of you will get a warning !

iirc there was some talk about the possibility of a transfer in the winter break. any suggestions who could give us more stability at the back ?

i do not like those bosingwa'esque full backs, because imho they only look good going forward (and thats what they do most of the time) and nobody notices it is their fault, when an counter attack runs down their side while they are AWOL because the english do not really mind defending and rather see attacking and clueless running.

as goblinish our little czech hobo right back is after watching caceres way of defending against headers i would rather have him stick to the right back not bringing anything to the table (attacking wise), than caceres who does leave his side exposed and tries something that does not work while attacking.

for a full back to be good i consider what he brings to the table important either on the attacking or the defensive side and when you watch the statistic caceres did get involved in to goals against us and did not assist to any goals nor did he do anything that could have become a goal.

the nice tacklings are just a beauty on the eye, but i bet he would not even have to tackle if his positioning was better.

And then, we will get more CL money.:money:

Plus, you never know. We might play against Real Madrid next round. Our record against them is pretty good.

I know we'll get knock out soon. So let's try to get all the CL money, that we could get.

The bigger our budget, the more options we have to reinforce our team (players or coaches) in the next mercato.

i don't care if i get warned for posting this, but just had a great laugh when reading goal.com's rating for immobile

Immobile: 5 - More invisible than immobile, the youngster added nothing to the shape of the game.

I wonder if Ferrara realizes that.
why should he care? he has a contract longer than that and will feel relieved without the CL pressure

Buffon: In Europe you need more

Gianluigi Buffon rues Juventus mistakes in Europe and maintains there is a “big difference” in terms of approach compared to Serie A.

“It’s not a tactical issue, it’s more one of mentality and the fact there is a big difference between playing in Italy and in Europe,” he said after the 2-0 defeat in Bordeaux.

“Here you need physical strength and a bit of quality, but in Europe everyone is very organised and you risk some costly slip-ups.

“We saw with Inter that if you don’t have a truly strong organised system, you won’t be able to dominate teams on your travels.

“The only Italian side who can do that are Milan and that’s why they traditionally do so well in this competition.”

The Bianconeri will still qualify for the knockouts if they avoid defeat against Bayern Munich in the final group game in Turin.

“Against Bayern we must try to find a strong core and reduce the risks to a minimum. Up until tonight we had the best defence in the Champions League, so we should be able to achieve that,” added the goalkeeper.

Curiously, Bordeaux are the only club to have put a goal past Juve in the Champions League this season, netting once in the opening 1-1 draw and twice here, all of them from set plays.

“We certainly need to be more concentrated, especially as we already conceded with a set piece in the first leg.

“Bordeaux have this curious characteristic in that seven of their eight goals have been from dead ball situations.”

Why would he say that...

I think we will make it through and qualify but we need to adjust some things... actually some serious things.

1- Play with two strikers having Diego behind.

2- Our defenders should learn how to pass and calm down instead of shooting the ball out every single time they have the ball. For a successful midfield, you need defenders able to control the ball and make 1 touch pass instead of launching rockets whenever they're under pressure.

3- Learn how to mark on set pieces. One vs One we are out of this world, but we seem to concede a lot on set pieces.

I think they've actually got better at that this season. It's not great, but it is a start.

Of course things would be easier for them if Melo got the finger out and started giving them easier options.
