Spot on Zach.

People don't understand you can't press like that for 90 minutes. You only get 3 subs. Allegri chose defensive subs, and it backfired after they tied it up on a very poor Evra mistake. Evra doesn't make that mistake we probably hold on for the win. But shit happens. We'll be back next year, and even better.
If Zaza was on the bench, i do object to bringing manbro for morata. Morata was keeping that backline at bay, was essential in bayern having to leave so much space and difficult to launch attacks.
We take of Morata cause he's slowing down. Fine. But bring on a player who also is a true 9 that pressures the backline and is a consistant threat to high balls over the defence. We had Zaza on the bench, we had that player.
Manbro could barely sprint. He played as an advanced midfielder. Bayern could push 30 meters deeper, and played the game they did in turin.

I really cannot understand why not zaza

This is all too much, I can't even think to move from the chair I'm sitting on I think it's going to be weeks before I can move again.

Yeah, this killed us, i'm afraid.
Its the only thing i can really criticise here. We had the correct approach and had to adjust when we got tired. Should have kept a striker on top of that backline, not a 4-6-0.

Sturaro and pereyra were logical subs cause they replaced near death starters. But they were rather weak.

We were ultimately beaten by a better side. We need to learn from these shortcomings, as there was little to separate the sides.
Definitely. Also learn that we need to put the group away. This team is in a semi transition, if we continue to bring in quality players.. I.e. Dybala, Sandro. We are, like you said, a tiny bit off doing this thing. Buffon basically said that he is very proud of the team and that we have grown and can get there in the next two years.

Look at the circumstances, we started the year horribly, injuries etc.. We have managed to turn that around, we are tired for it. Add to that three key injuries before the game, half cooked Mario Mandzukic. We did really fucking well. It sucks, obviously, to lose the way we did because we nearly had it. In this scenario however, with a team that had something to prove , a team that has become a lot younger over the last year I think it was important to get close. Even if as a fan it was probably harder to lose that way. We have to look at the bigger picture IMO. Allegri got it spot on, sadly we had under done players on the bench.

I think Allegri really believed in defending that lead. I can understand that because Zaza would've had little support in going forward but in hindsight yes it seems the wrong move

Why didnt lewa get a red card? The ref was a fucking disgrace! All oir players on very weak yellow made it very risky for them to tackle and defend properly. So many lost chances so much regret
ex-ref Cesari said there should have been one on Kimmich in the 1st for elbowing Morata. I didn't see it. Kimmich was also the one who made the foul on Pogba on Bayern's 3rd or 4th.

Not sure if a trashing would hurt more. I doubt tbh
Probably it wouldnt hurt more in the moment, but long term it would. It's important to show the world we can compete with the best, or rather, that we are part of that very elite group in Europe that can proudly call themselves the best, and we did show that we belong in that group. Everyone who watched this game will have seen that Juve is a great team, and for that I'm glad. But yes, this scenario we got hurts more right now.

Agree. Sturaro and Pereyra didn't do well either, but the Morata sub really changed the setup.

Absolutely gutted. This defeat hurt more than losing to United in 99. The mentality of the team in te last half an hour was disgraceful. And we are better than this.
