i was dissapointed with the substitutions.....i was expecting pessoto to come in for nedved and push Zambrota upfield ,,,Camo should have gone out for Olivera...

although i had to say....Del Piero played really well for his standard ...although nowhere billiant as people still make him out to be....:thumb:.
Actually i think the subs gave us ALOT!

We were losing every ball in mid,Biri was hell tired, and we were leading 1-0.

1.So Capello brings Pessotto in place for Biri(fresh defender on the side we were weak on).

2.He wanted Neddy to stay and to Sub Oli for Camo, but Neddy got injured he had no choice...So Oli took Neddy's place.and did great.

3.Appiah entered for Del piero.great move, coz Del piero wasn't in best shape, and we needed man to have the ball in mid.

so ended up with 2 fresh and good guys in the middle of the park, plus one fresh defender, from this minute there were no chance they could make a good well built attack,we had the ball most of the time, and were controlling the match great and safe, wich the score satisfies us.

Bravo Capello.:stuckup::)

Birindelli was struggling, so bringing in Pessotto for him rather than Nedved was a good move imo, and the injury to Pavel later on made Oli for Camo pretty much impossible.

Agreed on the last point though. Del Piero was good, but not brilliant. He can improve.

Yup, the substitutions worked out in the end, we got the three points, and Capello got his first win as a coach against Ajax. I'm not going to ask for much more.

Pavel Nedved looks to be back to his best - but the Juventus ace insists he still has more to offer.

The Czech ace impressed and scored a beauty in the 1-0 win over Ajax last night yet he expects more from himself.

"I’ve taken another step forward in my form even if there is still someway to go. I’m only at 60 per cent of my full capabilities," he stated.

The midfielder, who should be fit enough for the weekend after limping out of the game last night, was happy to have found the back of the net again after his strike against Brescia.

"I’m delighted with the goals because they help with morale. I saw the chance to shoot and I took it," he commented.

"It isn’t easy to win at a place like this but we are happy to have got our campaign off to a winning start.

"Ajax made it tough for us because they are an organised side who never stop running but we played how the Coach wanted."

Alex Del Piero was also content with the victory despite clearly being disappointed with the decision to substitute him.

"There is no problem with the Coach," he insisted. "I was angry with a pass that I made just before being replaced and I wasn’t totally happy with my display."
heheheh

Del Piero started the game alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack. Yet the Swede struggled against his former club.

"It was tough playing against my old teammates, especially mentally," he commented. "I thought I would have no problems but it was a strange game for me.

"The fans? They didn’t whistle me and I thank them for that. I obviously left them with some good memories."
oh thanx God he's ok!!!

cause it would be horrible for him to be injured again!!

we seem promising...
and when i say promising,i mean dangerous...

and even though i saw only few moments of the match,i am sure that when everything and everyone takes his place in the team and everything starts working well,we'll become strong again as JUVENTUS must be

I can wait a bit before I see a dangerous side, but I am sure it will come, the players need some time
Exactly. The players need time to get sharp and we've got to take into consideration that we're having to integrate a new coach and new players into the team.

but,did we kicked they asses...??

ok,we won.
but,were we dangerous??

that's the question!
well I was in the Amsterdam ArenA that night and we dutch just think that's the way italians play. We thought ajax was better but that's just the power of italian clubs.

To my opinion Ajax deserved at least one point this match, unfortenately we didn't get it. :(

Juve were better in the first half and Ajax better in the second so perhaps you guys did deserve a point but we were just too good defensively though Sonck will feel agrieved that his rocket didn't go in but hit the crossbar.

ajax deserved it, but juve also deserved 3 points. if it wasn't camoranesi, the score would've been different.

sorry. First half juve surely was the better team and yes you were dangerous and 2 minutes before half time pavel scored a fabulous goal.

2nd half exactly the opposite. Ajax was better, got more chances etc. Only difference was ajax forgot to score.

Juve wasn't very dangerous anymore in the 2nd half (to my opinion)

I thought nedved scored the goal. ;)

i wasn't talking about the goal we scored. i meant that if camoranesi wouldn't have lost some balls in that game, our lead would've been bigger.
